Hey Diego! Thanks for checking out my new book. Stay on me so I keep updating it. I need the accountability. lol
Your stuff is looking better and better, man. The renders and studies are fantastic. Your lines are so clean and confident too! I wish I could just lay lines down so well. Especially when it comes to the stuff from my mind. Heh. Don't be afraid to push the contrast in those renders. And when your doing those studies make sure you're continually asking yourself where the different shadows and lights are (highlight, core shadow, cast shadow, reflected light, etc.) and really pop those places to sell the weight and existence in space that the object has. Push those values, man!
Also the thumbs are looking really cool too. I've just been doing those more often lately and have finally started to get a bit of a groove with 'em. Just try to look at it as if it's a math problem and you're just balancing each stroke and shape with another. Sometimes it seems like when you flesh those out you get pretty complicated and detailed. Don't forget to give some the eyes a rest by introducing some flat surfaces in there too. I often have this same problem. Heh. Keep up the great work! Lookin' forward to more, man.
good work!the head master studies are helping you more
than you know. keep working hard!

Looking good, the heads from memory, particularly the cowboy type guy are really nice, a lot of personality to them. I also dig the robotic design from the thumbnails, looks like you're working hard and making good progress.
Post more often!!!!!!!!!!! PEACH![]()

buenas las cabezas de la imaginación! la peliroja está muy bien hecho... intentas hacer que se parezca lo más realista posible, o buscas estilizar a los personajes un poco?

Value studies are awesome, especially the portraits
I would love to see some works that are more filled with color.
hey man thanks for dropping by my sb, your stuff is looking great! Are you using colour burn/dodge layers, the tools, or any other layer adjustment in particular? I find that its better to mix the colours yourself using the hsb sliders (linran has a good tutorial on it that I translated which you can find in my signature). Burn/dodge tools can push the contrast too much and results tend to have a slight metallic, unnatural look (plus you learn more about colour theory by mixing).
Another thing that i reckon could push the quality of your paintings is edgework. soften some of those edges and you'll find you don't need to make the shadows so dark to push the highlights and create contrast![]()
cool stuff!
I dig these ones: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...8&d=1234936805
