new technique

howdy, I've been working with this new (To me) technique of scaning colored pencil drawings and coloring over them...what do ya'll think?

As far as content is concerned there character designs/concepts, obviously more design heavy at this point...

I admire your imagination, but new techniques do not cover up basic bad drawing.

You must devote yourself to really learning the basics of drawing. Here is a very good book that outlines many of the things you ought to know. http://painting.about.com/od/product...rawAtelier.htm

Spend years learning how to draw properly, years.

Sorry for the harsh crit, but the field is very competitive and only the best will survive.

Oh come now. He's not bad at drawing. He just doesn't know how to draw people very well.

Try to find as many references as possible for your drawings before you draw them. The female portion of the first figure looks lumpy and abnormally thin. Mind the shape of the underlying skeleton when you draw. The second figure needs a reference as well, especially the face.

Devote some time to live figure drawing to get the basics down.
