nice mood and color on your landscapes! Your figure work is getting there, some proportion issue here and there, keep painting!
More nudes sketches, i feel bad for not painting, sketches will help...
two days in a row, i'm getting the hang of this
used old reference i took in Florida some years ago on vacation... but i'm going to the great salt lake to do some on site sketches.
Its been a while since i used these guys, it felt good, used reference photo. tried not to be nitpicky...
another sketch with the nupastel... uhm.. i need to start painting.
30 second quick gesture sketches from pose maniacs. The first 50 were ball busters... but it sort of became fun in a sick way. Here are only a few.
i downloaded a 30 day trail of painter 11 or 12 not sure, lets go with 11. thought i would play around, its addictive.
Fixed horizon line, re painted figure, added bucket, glazed with red, played with some colors mostly in sky and water and bird,
I'm might be doing a show in some hair salon, so i've been doing some landscapes incase i do that. 3 down so far, they are going fast. all 8 by 10
This keeps getting better and better. I'm loving the oils, and I'm really drawn to your charcoal portraits on the first page.
Keep it up, and don't stop!
these are old but i put some glaze over them.
I joined this thing, its for traditional art only, but i've gotten a lot of feed back. AND ITS FREE!!!!!
I got a lot of feed, but after i saw them comment generously only crap work, it sort of lost credit for me, so i don't know where i stand.
i might go over this, haven't had the time to paint, its summer I got to enjoy myself!!!!
really love your oils you defniatly have a confident brush stroke
"Poor is the pupil who does not surpass his master
added a few things to this one, tried to make the houses not look like mountains and to give more depth in the clouds.
the pie and fruit bowl are on the first page, but poor quality, here they are again a little bit better looking, with an old still life, used thick strokes, but i think i a lost the painting, maybe painted over it.
some more stuff on first page, with bad quality.
quick studies i did around 4 a day for a few months, helped a lot, i need to start up again....
pen and ink... funstuff
ink sketches there is a lot of these, more to come
Your paintings are very nice. Your still lifes are more successful than your figures imo but in both you are doing a fine job of capturing the shapes of light on the forms I believe.
Your drawings have some nice touches to them :]
"A drawing is not necessarily academic because it is thorough, but only because it is dead. Neither is a drawing necessarily academic because it is done in what is called a conventional style, any more than it is good because it is done in an unconventional style. The test is whether it has life and conveys genuine feeling."- Harold Speed
