    Mikee,

These look great, post all your figures in here to, you should just pack it all in one thread! If I end up back at SLCC it won't be the same without you!

You have some very lovely paintings and charcoals. Man, every picture is just another great piece. Keep it up! I really love these last few; the soft colors and strokes.

I liked the charcoals in post 12 the best. I think these works could be very compelling indeed in you had a specific schema or modus operandi about how you make marks. Sometimes it looks like you are just going in whatever direction spontaneously occurred to you. Be calculating about the marks and I think you can hypnotize a lot of people.

    portraits

some portraits i've done, and i do like them, but i notice a few wrong things that i wish i could fix, wish i did them in oils. i like the girl one because of the malcolm liepke feel to it.

    New stuff...

Relatively new, Two oil paintings were for an illustration class, illustrating a children's book about beauty and the beast, the scenes are beauty's lost father finds beasts castle, and beast turns to prince. also there is a ink sketch for an idea for a tattoos, two headed calf. then two sketch studies with ink, watercolor, and white pastel pencil. and the last one was a pencil sketch for a friends band, started the the oil painting but never finished. got busy with school work. i'm slacking i know.

Wow Michael! You have a lot of diversity in your work. On the pinkish figure drawing, were you making those multiple marks sawing back and forth on purpose, or were you just trying to work your way into a groove? I like the modeling on her face.
