Hey Erik, that's great, I'll say hi to him IF I see himHe's always busy I guess. Nice SB you got there!
Yeah, been away a while. Now back to the drawing board again! To begin a selection of some gestures I make almost every day in the bus, the train whatever! C&C always appreciated.
he there, made this little greyscale sketch on a convention. Having a hard time getting accustomed to digital painting, so every tip is welcome!
Went to the park yesterday, the lovely weather was so good...
Again lovely weather, spend some time reading and sketching in park... Let's hope I get some color on that pale face o' mine.
Hey, again another dutchie! They're like popping out of the ground or somethin
.
Those quick sketches of people are nice! Confident lines, you have a good eye for the right main lines.
I'm wondering how you would do some more worked out thingsor do you do only sketches
?

Hey Marlisa, thanks for your comment! Well, I've got a tough time working things out. I find it hard to start and most of my digital sketches end up messy... So gotta practice at that of course, but I gotta have some right pointers or somethingThere are more sketches coming up, made today at the sketch meeting! :0
Here are the sketches I made at the sketch meeting in Amsterdam, which was very cool (my first one) and instructive! Gotta pick up pencil again, getting a bit too used to pen.
nice sketches mate, i would suggest alot more contrast in your pencil works.. just some very dark pencil strokes some places, for example where feet touch the ground and shapes overlap, corners of mouths and eyes etc and its alot better.. when you draw something, dont only think about line but also value, it will speak much more!
good lcuk mate!
Thanks, Gosu! I'm a little too careful with the pencil, I guess.
Here are some gestures again, I will come with something else next time![]()
Hey there everybody, some more gestures and observations in the park!
Ik vind het knap hoe je al die verschillende mensen, persoonlijkheden zo snel lijkt neer te zetten. Het lijkt wel alsof je het zo hup hup hup, even snel op papier zet, en toch meteen de goede lijnen hebt.
What Teh Gosu already said; values! Your linework is already very good, so maybe focussing on the shadows?
Keep up the good work![]()

Thanks guys, really appreciate it! I'm now observing a lot, trying to learn a lot of stuff just by looking closely at it, and then try to implement that into my drawings.
Omerta: Thanks dude! You 2, keep up the drawing stuff.

Your brushpen drawings look pro- and drawing all the people around you is one of the best exercises you can do! Keep up the great work![]()

Grafguy Thanks dude, yeah it's been awhile, but that's only because school was rather intense this year. I forgot about my SB, which is like a sin or sumfinNow I am sketching a lot and trying to learn as much as possible for the new year kicks in. And yeah, I should color more, but I think that's still scary
I don't mind doing for my graphic design assignments, but in my paintings I still feel I lack the knowledge.
papervampire Brushpen rules! Thanks!
hala: People are always interesting, everywhere around you. That's why this practice never grows old
here's another sketch I made, no reference and no real idea behind it. Hope you like it, C&C appreciated!
And here some animals, people and my dad's shed![]()
He there, another update again. Some sketches from people and animals that I saw during my visit to the zoo yesterday. That was great, had a lot of fun watching these wonderful creatuers. And drawing them is tough, damn buggers won't sit still![]()
Very nice sketches!!! what did you use for them ?? and everything was from life?? pretty inspiring, see you, bye !
My SB- Destroy and enjoy! !http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...77#post2294577
My portfolio http://ledd.carbonmade.com/
Led:: Yo man, I used indian ink pens for them and yes, they are mostly from life observationA great exercise and fun to do. Don't get caught, that's kinda embarrassing

Hey there! Finally some color in this threadA color study, first one ever. Done with a mirror, quite hard to actually.
And if you're wondering, yeah that's me. I fucked up the eyes, still got a hard time doing those. Tips anyone!?This one took me about 2 hours. C&C very appreciated

Here are some doodles of the last couple of days, warmth here in Holland kills me. No ref![]()
The one with the mouth open and full of rage is done from observation, using a mirror. That works quite well!
Hoi man
Leuke pentekeningen heb jij hier :-)
yoyo! really great observational drawings! sometimes they could use a little bit more shading, but the problem is probably that those people start moving again before you can do thatwould love to see some more colored works!
My sketchbook: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...106521&page=11
ajvenema : Thanks dude! Yeah you're right, putting in shade would help me learn more next to gesture, but it's almost impossible. I sometimes see people do that, but I wonder if that's not added later on? Or maybe they are on a level where they can do both
And yeah I need to color more, but it's tough! Love your watercolor avatar by the way!
Hey there, here are some doodles (yeah, nothing beats that!) and a 30 min. portrait values practice sketch. C&C appreciated!![]()
