    Red face sketcher-er-er book.

    Hello : )

You can call me amoolie. I've always loved to doodle. Recently I've decided that I'd like to get a bit more serious about improving my "skills", so I'm starting a sketchbook here.

not a bad start, try keeping your hand steady and keep practicing everyday no matter if your lazy or dont want to, thats the only way to get good at anything. First of all try studying some anatomy then work on the shadings. hope this helps

Here's some stuff I did today. All the figures are from photo reference; I pulled a couple of stock photos off of devart.

I have two versions of the same piece (the exercise bike); one is a virgin scan and I played with levels on the other one. IDK which one I like more. The one with levels : http://img147.imageshack.us/my.php?i...elevelspv4.jpg

Really pay attention to value in your pieces.
They are working now, but there's not enough of transitory grays between the dark darks and the white whites that you have.

    Keep it up!

Now that I look at them again, I see what you mean. I'm gonna do another still life in pencil and keep that in mind.

    Thanks : D !
