well today i am going to walk to borders to pick up some books.
i'm looking for books on digital painting. any recommendations?
but specifically for photoshop.
i have a budget of 100 dollars. -_-
Personally I'd rather buy some book about traditional painting with some theory about colors and composition and use that knowledge when painting in Photoshop.
For technical things like process, brushes and different options you have Photoshop help, tons of tutorials on the net and for example bumskee's Digital painting in PS thread.
Agree with Farvus, there's not much about PS you can't find on the net or in the help files. Search around this site, ImagineFX, Computerarts.co.uk, ,cgtalk gfxartist etc for tutorials.
Reading these will be of more use than any "Painting Sweet Monsters in Photoshop" book.
