Sketchbooks of the Tamte Volkertron UPDATED! 5-11-09

    Hey everybody,

I've been really inspired by the art that's going on here, so I thought I would join in the fun. What a hub this is for creative shit, I'd love to pick the brains of you guys so I was hoping I could get some insight from ya'll. Kind of a noob to this whole thing so, I'll start with a synopsis of the sketchbooks I keep and then move on from there. Anything that jumps out at you good or bad, please let me know. Thanks for dropping in!

...My name is Adam by the way it's nice to meet you!

    Whoowa another great sketchbook.
Are those thumbnail done in digital? Very interesting style. Don't really have some things to critique, the only thing I can say is that hopefully will see you post more sweet stuff.

    Nice job!!

Really intrigued and impressed, not often you see commitment, talent, AND creativity.
One thing i can suggest (you may already be doing this) is to throw a couple hours into one piece that is purely from imagination once in a while. This will help you fly even higher.

Overall i love what you are doing.

Go traditional! The confidence displayed in your brush/pen strokes is rather admirable Looking forward to more.

pretty good sketchbook you got here, its good your studying the anatomy. one thing i see though is the linework in the first few post, they seems kinda choppy. trying using different thickness of your pencil or pen, see how that works out for ya. the human portaits seems good, just working on getting the darker areas dark and lighter areas lighten, and work on the contrast. ill check in and see how your progressing.

I disagree a bit. I think his values are fine. Light and dark are established perfectly. And as for the linework, its pretty neat as it is. You're doing a fine job, Tamte. Very stylish stuff.

    Quick update

SOooo...this last weekend I worked through the drawings in the last post, and i've come to a stopping point for feedback. I'm trying to go for environments that are a little more functional, but I think I missed the perspective mark a little here. Thanks for the comments by the way, I'll be able to post replies later this week! Until then any feedback on these two mother-truckers would be great. Thanks in advance.

hey sup adam. Can't believe I never found your SB before.

I like what you're doing with these characters, though your rendering is a bit spotty. Great brushwork as usual.
