a couple things ive noticed first of the heads of your characters look to small in comparison with the rest of the body, and also the torso looks to big compared to the rest of the body, im sure other people will say pretty much the same thing, get some anatomy books or do some life drawing classes they both have helped me become better in only a few months ive been doing them so those are my opinions.
"the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden." GENESIS 4:19
Some nice design.
For now, i think you should stop drawing character from imagination and do some anatomy studies. Some character is off balance. Others i agreed with theelusiveyoda.
If you really want to do from imagination, find some reference for the part you dont know how to draw. This will make you character look more believable.
Keep on posting and happy drawing
thanks for your advices, about heads as you can see there are armor pieces on shoulders of no1 & no2's right arm and specialy my earlier work that you can see a bunch of armors that he s lifting on his chest area and heavy one on his shoulders(cause they are warrior characters)! and these are not only torsos.another reason is too big muscle's az you know SO THE HEAD will looking small(as you can see in real life too).
next time i will send another type of characters, with better anatomys and draw armors better for better realize
thanks for your useful advices and comments guys.keep it going![]()
pedram its not that were trying to put you down or anything its just that cristism helps people improve i know what it feels like people saying some of your best work still needs work but in the end you realise what they say is (most of the time) right and if you follow others advise you improve over time
"the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden." GENESIS 4:19
hey, these are only sketchs, and i dont think that you are going to put me down my friend.i just only discribed my sketchs.BTW your advices about Cheracters head was too useful that make me think about that.for next time i will send more detailed sketchs.thanks

ok the head looks better but a couple of things the arms are way to short in comparison to the rest of the body as well as the hands and also the torso is to small in comparisson to the the legs
Did a paint over, hope you dont mine.
I'm not a pro, so i cant said that is 100% correct.
Other i agreed with above. sorry for the crappy paint over
i was just about to a paint over but you beat me to it yinteck
"the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden." GENESIS 4:19
You have surprisingly clean and flowing lines.
Alright, now to the crit.
ANATOMY. You must learn it. I would advise you take an exodus away from your routine of fantasy art and start studying from life, and analyzing what your eyes see, not what your mind perceives to be correct. What your problem is, when you start to draw, your mind is pulling information on the subject matter, and if that information is erroneous or inaccurate, then your drawing will likewise be inaccurate.
This is why it is very important that you do studies, and draw from life. When you draw from life, you start to develop muscle memory and sense of accurate proportion. This is because your eyes, hand, and brain are working in tandem to reproduce a 3 dimensional object 2 dimensionally. Practicing in this way develops the muscle memory I was talking about: i.e. your eyes will know what looks proportional and accurate, your brain will be providing the information for the subject matter and your hand will be able to generate the information while being kept in check by the eyes. When you draw straight from your imagination with no reference images or study models, the minds perception of an object can become distorted very easily. It is especially essential that you work from reference because you do not yet have the proportional, anatomical awareness to illustrate strictly from imagination.
I made some quick paintovers to demonstrate some of the anatomical inaccuracies.

Start working on drawing from reference, or better yet, pick up Bridgman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life. If you work at improving your working knowledge of anatomy, you'll find your fantasy and fiction work will improve greatly.
Good luck, and if you have any more questions, don't be afraid to ask.

Hey Pedram,
i think it's better to work on proportion before digging into the anatomy stuff, for example your heads are really smaller than usual and your bodies are fat.find one of the Loomis' books and try to understand the human proportion first.
cu
Need your critique

Always draw the nude figure first to avoid error like the leg ( knee Part ) The armor doest cover the leg correctly. Her leg is also to short compare to her torso. Keep Posting !
