great work
Looks a little too much like Haga Sofia in Istanbul, for me to believe it's Baghdad.
Are the tripods US troops?![]()

Ah poor Baghdad, will they ever get a break?![]()
Looks like hagia sofia too much to me too but otherwise nice job![]()
Same thing as Dallas and Pixelbrush.
Were they harboring weapons of mass insecticide?
ah the irony of a place thats so war torn today still being war torn in the far future.
somewhat upsetting too really.
lovely pic anyways.

i feel like the tripod on the right has its lasers coming out of it at an angle that doesn't line up with the direction of its body/guns. only slightly.
That's not irony. Irony would be if in the future, Iraq was somehow the only peaceful place, or invaded america.
At any rate, there are some defenite tangents that are upsetting me (most noticably with the foreground tripod's middle leg hinge and its tail) and there are some smudgy spots but it still looks cool![]()
i like the smoke!

The Mosque is actually the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (or the Blue Mosque) in Istanbul, Turkey. It is not Haga Sofia, per say, but implements many design elements from the the Romanesque structure built by the Byzantines. The dead give-away is the six minaret's that flank the perimeter of the building as well as they 4 half-domes surrounding the larger dome as opposed to the Haga Sofia's two half-domes. Haga Sofia is marred by the lack of two more half-domes, which actually caused the central dome to collapse. As a result, Haga Sofia has a series of very unpleasant and ugly buttresses added on to keep the dome from expanding outward.
Is the foreground tripod hugging the edge of the frame one of those unfortunate tangents?
Re you sure, that in 2501 there will be something in the world to destroy? xD
The work is very impressive, especcialy i liked the smoke - it seemed to be very realistic
