Some landscape experiments - some are overtexturey, I know, but these were fun. These are all Photoshop, painted up then overlaid with photo textures to get the traditional look.

Hi Rebecca!
The OFDW piece is beautiful! Always loved your subtle implied form and the addition of the texture just makes it better. I'm quite surprised by those landscapes( I remember seeing them at gorillawarfare.com but I'd never seen landscapes by you before so I wasn't sure if it was you). What's the medium? I think I see some textures from there in the portrait. Really nice to see some non-representational-ish (which was my teacher's fancy word for abstract, heehee) pieces from you too.
they landscapes are crazy, they remind me of expierimental photography. i think i like the top one and the last one the most. the last one has energy to it, but seems like if it had one more of those splashes thats in the bottom left, it would be full of life.
keep going on that kostas study, its turning out very cool so far.
Iridyse, thanks! Hey, these are PS with photo textures on top (painted up first, the photos are just for textures). Great to see you around.
RichKid, thank you! The words experimental photography really sparked something, I think I've played around with that stuff in the past but never really formally. Thank you for your comments.
Some further explorations, for the OFDW, using Gio Nakpil's great 3D work (ref 1, ref 2) as reference with permission. These obviously have heavy photo overlays for textures:

hehe, i cant sleep and you posted more so im back again.
id say the first one, if you move the texture you used down a bit, it would line up with the contour of the body on the left. this might give it some more unity. this new batch dont seem as inspired as your earlier posts. i like the radial crack to bring focus to the guy's head, but other than that these new ones seem just like textures tossed on top of pictures. find that life that was in the earlier stuff.
amazing stuff, i really enjoyed the environment ones great stuff
Hi Rebecca! Great to see you here too![]()
Your work looks really interesting and beautiful.
RichKid, replied in your thread, thanks for the feedback.
grundybug, thank you, I'll have to do some more of those later, much fun.
Maidith, thanks, great to see you here too! Appreciate your stopping by, great to have you on the Anatomy Forum!
Here's a small update. Another early WIP for the OFDW, this time using Anand Gopinath's (Anandpg's) great render as reference with permission.

great stuff.. interesting, strong use of textures.
Some are a bit soft and airbrushy for my taste, but well executed nonetheless.
