    gas monster

Hello, here's my latest offering to ye gods of concept art. This chap is my own design. I guess he shoots gas and punches things

There's a few bitz I'm not too happy with (his arse muscle, for eg, is way out) but overall I'm liking how he's coming along. Feedback/crit welcome.

I really like the whimsical detailing and the anatomy. I feel you could benefit by having the entire figure in the frame, as well as having a consistent level of detail if you want to finish this up...

cool, there seems to be a bone structure there, that's something I'm working on with a current dragon piece. it's way cooler than the cloverfield monster btw.

    Thanks for the replies guys:

softocean I always seem to draw out of the frame initially and then add more to the edges to eventually get the whole thing in, but nevertheless I'll do it more expediently as you've pointed it out. I'm not too sure about what you mean by "consistent level of detail" though; I mean, I'm getting there, it is a wip! Do you think there are some details that should be evenly placed throughout or something...?

Michael Wasik Thanks a heap man, and by the way, I thought the cloverfield monster could have been cooler.

It does look Cloverfield-esque, but it more resembles the original concept art for the monster than the monster itself.
The concept art was way cooler, and I think yours is still cooler. Way to go, let's see it fully rendered.
Only crit I can think of is that the face/head structure is... confusing. I can't tell where it's eyes or mouth is, or if it even has those.
The pen is mightier than the sword, but the minigun does more damage.

I agree with Rhythmus, the musculature is ASTOUDING, and I do dig veins on a monster. More calrity around the head, and all that cool stuff on his back would help.

Update not a big one, but there were some anatomical technical bitz that took some wringing out/time.

Rhythmus + Anville: Thanks for the very kind words! It wasn't really meant to be a Cloverfield type monster, but since I thought that movie monster was a little under par, I guess this guy will be made into something that could kick its arse Anyway, I'm not too sure about the facial features thing; I've pointed them out in the latest update. If you still can't see them easily, I guess I may have to change his face design...
