Sebastian Gromann: no prob
Ian Barker: more to come
GEB: sure will try, thanks
Well, things have been happening, first:
I graduated from my school as graphical designer, and i did my thesis in conceptart: Kitsch in conceptart, a study of kitsch in conceptart
As it is 46 pages long i will not translate it in english, sorry. Maybe later i will translate here my conclusion of how kitsch is in conceptart and what it means in my opinion.
You can access the finnish web version in here:
Anyway, i will now have to make a new portfolio and start trying to get job in game industry as concept artist/graphical designer. We'll see how it goes, thick skin and all etc...
Here are characters from CDA character class, redesigns of characters from movies and fairy tales:
And also a challenge speedie for Walnut, sorry for being extra late...

I'm glad my patience bore fruit :p But seriously, fun charas, and a very fantasy fantasy sketch! Like the colours on it btw. With the chara designs, you can still pay attention to how fluid the pose is, and that Star Warrish guy has his front arm on backwards. But enough busting of balls, i've never got round to telling you how impressed i was with those massive school updates from a while back! Those were some damn badass posts y'know. Anyways, back to work, hope you can share something of your thesis in English someday. Have a good one!
Really awesome Characters there, the Jedi type dude is my favorite. and hey good luck on setting up your new portfolio.
MNinjac: Thanks bro, still got to practise
Aryeh: Hey goof to hear someone likes them!
Carnifex: Thanks, yum!
kikindaface: Three years has the sun been not casting it's warm tendrils over your beautiful person, three years is a long time, i will muse over that!
Jonesoda: Shit someone actually recognised that one, kudos!
Mark Tarrisse: It is now,m thanks to you and all
walnut: You know how it goes baby, you and me, bad dynamite. Seriously, time to chump some chumpies, or what?
Hey conceptart is finally catching up how files should be uploaded and virus problem seems to be gone for now, nice. I was almost leaving this place for good, but all you wonderful people kept me here.
Three enviroments for my portfolio, almost finished and 5 week trip around asia coming up!!!! can't wait, just have to do last metres on portfolio
------ALSO most respect for my wingman: Walnut for keeping my back and giving me nice critique and encouragement, you deserve a beer someday...-----
Edit: New conceptart scales images smaller if browser smaller size than image, watch these in full size if possible!!! othervise looses delicious sharpness!

Is that tomb lichen i'm smelling?
Have i seen those pics somewhere before?
Is it time to chump chumpies already? Damm right it is!
anyhoo, love what you did with them illos, nice polish on the first one in particular. Keep them trickling in steadily, like honey over an ogre's tit...hmmm, honey...
Your big comeback, shaking and pummeling out the minerals from
the frozen morning ground, Martin Sheen himself couldn’t have done any better.
Milked up jar, dipping honey, summer tea, all together combined with heavenly fumes.
There was this terrifying feeling that you will not going to come back, there was this
short nuclear winter feeling under the upper exosphere. But fortunately you proved
the nonbelievers that they were wrong once more. Butterflies in the wooden hive,
stocked up monsoon cockroaches in a derailed bean can, oh how happy I am.
Your evolution and skyrocketing started somewhere last year, inbetween the
Indonesian big coal mine convention, and the big Egyptian moon flower statue
erection. Do you realize that there are no available words, reasonable enough
that could express your artistic renaissance. Rapscci, Dapsi, Bapsci and me
are building a new shack near the village river. You are welcome to join
us whenever you decide to. And after some time you could even join
our secret hidden underground vegetable favoring ogre clan.
Till then take care and be good. Very good.
Hello good people of the wild and wonderful republic. I am not dead, all the talk of going under the big white shark has been exaggerated.
I was going around asia and brought back with me some nasty stomach doo-doos. December-january went under depressed moon (getting better) but trough february-today i have been drawing every day like maniac, i have completed 2 sketchbooks and have many wonderful things to show you, wait for it. I have to do one drawing to complete my portfolio as 90% but after that in few days, be ready for massive update...
anyway, here is todays speedie, if it does not show full size, please click it to show in such way, thank you noble ladies and fearsome gentlemans!!!
I said it before and i'll say it again even in a court of law: you be getting fearfully good brother! That's some pro looking pic you made! MORE!
Walnut: Hey thanks for the support! i feel there might be some surprises soon in the ring, you might like some of them even
LtPlissken: Nice to hear from you! yeah wheels are in fire again
First rest of the portfolio images for 2013!
Now i promised a big update, but i cannot really be expected to scan all that in, so...
I will scan some of it, dont' worry, it still exceeds 100 images...
Next drawings are from around 1 year, so some are older, some newer.
Fun, studies, character, thumbnails, enviroments, sketches, all together in one big file, after this post the stuff from recent two month:
Next one are made Kim Jung Gi style straight in ink without sketching underneath, very rewarding practice. Might throw later some colour in these, but that will happen on my own blog/page
You know my thoughts on this update, so i'm justing posting to bump this one.
Did you ever translate the conclusion of kitsch in conceptart? I'd love to read it!
Wow...such amazing work.
