Forums Bugs. Squash them!

Hey you guys, if you see any bugs that have come up as of this morning, please let us know and we will tackle them as soon as we can. We are making some room around here for growth and it will be a patient process as we get it all done.

it seems like the old attachments work, whilst newly created ones dont.
It also seems to be across the whole forum!

The images at the top are also not working. When you click on one (I don't know if it's on everyones but it is in Pete Konig's) the whole screen freezes.

Attachments still only form a link in mentoring as of 11:05 AM PST (1/20/08 ). It looks like that is also the case in POW as of about the same time.

I don't know if this counts but at the bottom of my sketchbook where it shows who's watching it says 39 guests. Somehow I doubt thats the case.(fixed)

Also, i thanked somebody in my sketchbook and it says "The following 2 people" when i was the only one thanking. Maybe i pushed it twice?(this one didn't come up as of this morning though)

hey any one who is having trouble with attachments... If you use the paperclippy and insert them into your post. they work fine. Its only if you just attach them with out inserting them that they don't show up. Im kinda wandering around fixing them.

I would suggest to davi that he make an announcement to that effect but he appears to be away this morning

and is there any point in cleanig up the multipost glitches?

I'm not sure about this minor thing but it seems that "Who's Online" doesn't work properly. 95% of users are on main forum page and I don't remember anything like this happening before

Using the paperclip for attachment did not work for me in the COW forum. Maybe it was a hic-up, or maybe I didn't exactly understood what I was supposed to do....

And I log out between posting, the site is a lot faster then. That's not really something new though, I have to do that from time to time.

I see what you have to do now, Chaos was right I just wasn't following. You have to click Manage Attachments to add your files first, then click the paperclip to insert the files you already attached.

I found out how to do the paperclip thingy right... (after help from davi and chaos....)

But man.... sometimes it takes forever to post. And it's still easier to browse around not logged in.

Oh yes. And those text commercials in the bottom of the page are sometimes there, sometimes not. It's still centered around herbs for me... *coughs* Hehe.

Hey the Mentoring thread swapped places with the Daily Sketch Group thread in the main forums area. Mentoring thread is now at the bottom while DSG is right under Community Activities. Not sure if that was intentional or anything important, but I thought I'd mention it nonetheless

Edit: it also seems to have an unusual amount of viewers...it went from like 5-7 to around 110 all of a sudden (which is great of course but somehow not close to the truth I think). Time is 1:38 GMT +1 here.

I've had the problem, when refreshing, it asks me if I want to save instad of actually refreshing....

This is how: I refresh the main forum page (index), then it tries for like two minutes... Then it askes "you want to save to this location.. blah... blah". When this happens, I usually get the message if I just hit refresh again. The spell is often over after ten minutes.

And I don't think it's just me. It's never happened on any other pages. I thought it was gone since I didn't have any more earlier today, but now I just got the same thing.

Did you get anything useful out of that, or am I just the usual nonhelping self?

Every once in a while, I get this grey, elongated square right in the middle of a post. It covers text, pictures, anything it happens to sit on top of. I'll post a screenshot when it happens the next time..

for some threads that i'm subscribed to, i will receive one email when someone replies. for other threads, when someone replies, i get 10+ email notifications in my inbox for the same post.

There is no image on the image verification when you register. Checked it out when I heard someone complain about it in the chat room.

I've had the grey rectangle but it's not new, I first saw it a few months back.

It mostly shows in image heavy threads like sketchbooks, I wasn't sure if it was a forum or Firefox issue..
