I'm starting a new painting this weekend and thought it would be fun to post the progress, starting with this here sketch:

The q-tip ear thing is cute - very Monkey Island, but I can't figure out what the point of this piece is.

What are we supposed to be looking at, and what story are you trying to tell?

I refined the sketch and threw in color and texture. The foreground hasn't been shaded or textured properly yet. After I get that roughed in I'll go over the whole thing and detail it.

As far as what it means, I don't know but it's not called 'smoke it' anymore. Now it's called 'From the forest' or something like that... Your guess is as good as mine

it looks cool but i dont really understand what its supposed to be or where it is in the picture, it kinda looks like on a hill but not? i dunno.
interesting though. and nice tree colors.

ps. is that one tree in the front supposed to look like a monster? cause its cool.

Those trees are awesome. Although, I am a little disappointed that there is no evidence of smoking anything in this piece.
