He's been relegated to the dungeons.
Heya! I've been AWOL awhile, but figured I'd pop in and distrubute some comments here and there.
I rely like the texturing and coloring on the body of the blue sea horse. I think that the flame bakground could use more shading and depth, as well as the red line (which may not actually need it, just my impression) but you did an excellent job with everything else. What medium were you using?
For the monster sketch with the big feet, I love the style you used. It's simple, but still gets the point across. This is a slightly divergent question, but how did you get the lack of visible erase marks? Did you have it that well-planned, or did you just have some awesome eraser you used? Anyways, nice work.
For the book cover with the owl, I love the positioning of the girl. The colors and shading on the owl and sky are nice, but the owl's position bugs me (in that it is upright more where the girl is more falling). Have you cosidered any other compositions? Over all, very nice.
Love the palm tree speed paint. You've probably mentioned this before, but what program are you using?
Well, keep up the work, I'll try to pop in again sometime.

Horray hello again taven!
For the sea horse i used acrylics ... i can see what you mean about the other junk in it being very flat.
For the monster i didnt erase at all. I used to draw creatures all the time but i get stuck in those damn profile pics i really need to keep working with shape and perspective so i can make something like him running or something.
Yeah the owl peice actully was revised a few times. At first the girl was very static and floating so then i redid part of her and everyone in the class was like ewww still looks like shes floating/falling so then i did a more supermanish flying pose. In the end i like how it came out but it then made the owl look kinda off like you said. At least he is still looking at her
I use photoshop for basicly all the digitial work i do.
Thanks agian for the watch

I'd say defidently keep at it and keep posting. Also, a good way to get more comments on your sketchbook is to comment on other people's sketchbooks. If you have someone specific who has a style you like that you'd really like to hear a comment from, sending them a PM can never hurt-- Though obviously, don't be pestering and annoying.
Also, if you have people who visit regularily, you can always suggest if they haven't yet, to put your threat on their subscription list. It's a nice and easy way to keep track of when it's updated.
Keep at it,

ok so heres where im at i have my feature coming up in april and im trying to make this peice looking sweeet so when its poster size people are like woa look at that detail. Basicly after im done with this feature im going to work my ass off at studying and get a nice portfolio done by the end of fall. So ive put hours so far into making htis background look detailed as shiat and its so tedious but i want to impress some people so gotta do what i gotta do.
on the first page you can see what it looked like before
Heya, me again!
For the bridge scene, I really like how it turned out. The only real criticism/comment I have is I was wondering what the bright darts of light past the bridge were. They look intriguing, but I'm not sure they really fit. Everything else looks really great.
As for the one above with two people, I think the poses could probably be more dynamic. I really like how the background and shading for it was done, as well as the black-and-white lady's hair. The man's arm muscles are very well defined, but I think his pose looks off/could be more dynamic, as I already mentioned.
Keep up the good work, and I've updated my sketchbook again, so feel free to drop by and add commentary/construtive criticism.
