DeeLock: Oh yeah, movement is something I've been lacking. but yes, these gestures and whatnot have been working wonders

I figure I'll try to update in the afternoons now, after my studies, and maybe again in the evening if i have something to show for the day.

Not much, im still slow, but im trying

Wow, don't know how I missed your SB so far. You're working really hard. SOme of those gestures are great. "Linda Human Form" and "faces woot! copy" are real nice.

bigfooTrooper: Haha, thanks a lot man. That is good advice .

Ok, well, that being said, I slept in and blah blah, had a mini art block for one day, didnt do much. And also, I suck at drawing so it takess me SOOO long to finish one sketch, ridiculous. Um yeah, just trying to get torsos more, and progress, this should be done tomorrow, its taking too long.

I'm really liking this sb man! i think you will benefit from 'less is more' spend more time thinking of the structure & form .. also spend more time getting your lines down in the first run.. don't scratch so much back and forth with those inks :p sexy sb man

Nice man your making some good strides in here. I'm with Dile when it comes to the human form. This is coming from a dude that still overdoes it when it comes to people. Nice progress though, keep it coming.

Yayyy, people see my tiny sketchbook!! Lol

Dile_: Thanks mate. I'm really working that whole less is more idea. Its a bit hard for me, but I figure it will come with practice. I'll try to cut back on the chicken scratch, haha.

Writerof: Lmao, Oh bob ross... What a genius. Thanks a lot for the threats mate, hahah

Trashy: Thanks a lot. Yeah, Im gonna try to follow diles tips. So harrd! Haha. Thanks again for stopping by.

RandAlThor: Thank you very much. Its nice to know I'm actually improving! And in my pencils too, as that's where I struggle.

Yay, ok, here's some stuff Ive been doing and not uploading, like a fool.

The last piece made me happy. I kind of got in the zone, and did it my own way. I've been getting too drawn in by my influences, and instead of admiring, I find myself trying to paint/draw like them, and it makes me feel so empty. Ive decided not to look at others art for a while, and just try to do me for a while.

Its been a while. I got a little tired of the attachment manager, and so I just didnt update. Heres a few drawings ive been doing. I didnt scan some, because I'm lazy, and others i cant show yet but whatever. I've been trying to listen to that advice, that less is more. So less lines to make my point. I have a shaky hand, but im just incorperating that shakiness to my work now, instead of fighting it all the time. Seems to be working out okay. Anyways, to the artzu!

    older sketches from ref:

Size: 356.4 KBName: Study_Sketch_2_by_HowlSeage.jpg
Views: 381
Size: 146.2 KB

Newer sketches, trying to focus on line conservation and also, not just ignoring mistakes like i normally do. I took that quote "never be afraid to destroy your babies" (or something like that)and ran with it, lol. I never fixed issues before...blah (Oh, these are from my imagination, btw):

And a painting a did a while back. Theres another drawing that goes with this one, but I cant find it, and Kind of don't care, lol. What a fail:

pencil stuff is looking great! torso is a bit long on that last one - the attachment manager put me off for a while too, but I decided to put up with it in the end.

BlackDelphin: Haha. Yeah, page 112 will be sweet. I need to draww more to make that happen!! Thanks for the compliments! Means a lot

towy: Thank you towy, you have a great sketchbook by the way!

ditchman: Thanks mate. Pencils are starting to feel more comfortable. I have neglected them for far too long!! Yeah, i'll get used to that crappy manager soon...pfffttt...

Alright, well I WOULD have a lot to update with, but I got dragged on to replace my friend on a comic. Too bad things with the editors went a little odd, and we had to back out. I had 7 days (more like 6) to do 8 pages, and i've never done a comic before, lol. Wowwww...That was some Intense painting. But i've never learned so much in such a short period of time!

But yeah, I'll show those pages in my next post, once I get the 'OK' on what I can and cant post!

Um, tonight I got Paint tool SAI. So i wanted to try it out. I also wanted to do a painting straight in color, no B&W glazing technique. So this is it. No ref used. I think doing that comic really helped my speed and my approach a lot. This was quite easy to do. And I learned a lot about the new program. I spent less time fussing about positioning and alignment, and more time on the important stufffs! Woooo. Am i lvling up?

Shit, i typed a novel again!!! Gahhh
