    Back to the drawing board...

Hello all. I'm new to the forum. I'm working on my portfolio after a few years out of circulation and would appreciate any advice on breaking into doing concept art for video games. More specifically, I've been teaching myself Photoshop and am looking for some constructive criticisms regarding the work I've been doing. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can get my color work to look more professional, and/or visceral.
Here is the link to my art blog:

I'm having an issue uploading my images to this thread. I humbly request your patience til I do.

Huge images. Try scaling those back to about 800x600. It's hard to crit something you can only see in bits and pieces.

Just from glancing at these, it seems you rely more on highlights to define your forms, when you should be using shading. There isn't much contrast, the painting on top looks very muddy and airbrushed. keep your edges in mind: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=51913

    lets try that again :)

Hello. Here's the two older pieces shrunk down, just in case anyone has anything more to add to the previous critique, plus a new piece I just finished. Any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated as always!

I may be a beginner, but a big no no in photoshop is the use of smudging, burning, and dodging (at least, while you're still learning). I'll let the pros do the talking, since I just wanted to point those out.
Lol, It sucks that I'm asian. I can't help it if I look like a million other people.
