1st step of an artistic journey ( updated 7/17/08! )

so I'm DemonBrandon, and would love to kick my art up a notch! I hope to get some good insight here and to improve my art skills!
here is some random stuff of mine:
here are a few of my character Venus, an art goddess. I've been drawing her for years now and would love to someday bring her to life in some form of animation, or book, or game...anything that'll get her out there and tell her story!

here are a few of her kinda romantic interest of the story, Blank. where Venus is all rainbows and color, Blank is monotone, and grays.

been busy with work, so I haven't had the time to draw much

get your hands on some loomis books and start from there!

wow, I should update more...
anywho, my DA is about to reach 5k views so I'm making a pic to celebrate!
here's what I have so far

Blank's face came out flatter than Venus' but hopefully I can fix that up in photoshop. I'll cross my fingers and pray it comes out as good as it looks in my mind ^^;

been a long while since I posted anything new on here. well here are some new things I've been working on!
I ditched the last idea for a 5k celebration pic for my DA and put it off, and before I knew it I was at 6k views! so I made this pic with my brand new 1st ever tablet (a wacom bamboo)

I'm still getting the hang of the tablet. But I'm slowly getting it. though I would love to know a way to make smoother lines.

I also made this little WIP today

I'm a pokemon geek so here is mewtwo in cerulean cave.
