    Anatomy Studies

Well, I finally got around to posting some of my stuff on CA. Figured I'd start with some of my anatomy studies. Most of these are done from life. Crits and comments are welcome, I just ask this: if you say something positive about my work, try to match it with a suggestion on how I could improve. We all enjoy having our egos stroked, however, I also like to improve...

    Thanks for looking.

Hey, nice accurate studies,I especially like the ones of the parts of the face on the red background, really good. And I like your hatching shading technique - Sorry I can't really offer any suggestions on what you could improve, but I hope to see more of these soon!

These are very solid. Especially the charcoal studies. I've purchased 3 sketch books and am going to fill each with anatomy studies: faces, hands, & body in motion.

wow, bro. It's a shame no one has commented on these, I've already seen all of them... because I'm your brother... but I figured I would be nice and re-list this on the top of sketchbooks again so peeps can comment.

Your hatching-technique is pretty flawless and you seem to be committed to your studies, which is very nice. However, what would refrain me from posting a comment is the fact that your stuff seems very... lifeless, somewhat like someone forced you to plot what you see without you putting any more effort in it than making the stripes the right way (I know, that is a lot of effort, already). But you should think about value and composition, too. And, about how to make the image more interesting, even if it is "just" a study. Right now, there is no imagination here.

Just my 2cents. Oh, and your perspective studies look awesome.
