Woah that face is good. You're getting a lot better at blending ehe. But yea it's not about blending at all but about values and even those are good. As for Octoman my paint over crit still stands. Change that bg colour and get some more contrast and make stuff pop more. Boembam

how to make more useful the life drawing you are doing on your bus?
Dunno i think it helps anyway , maybe just dont force yourself that much on only that thing, and then be tired doing other training.Just do it while relaxing and you will get a lot of things even by doing backs.
To understand the use of somethings you learn just try to thing what you want to do in a work, and what things can help you to do it.I mean lifedrawing can upgrade your watch-pass to paper skills and makes it easier to copy poses from references etc(at least when you only doing drawing life drawing )
In case you want to upgrade your "summon manikin" skills, you probably have to research the anatomy as we know it, i mean the classic way to learn it
    keep up the good work

Wow, you're going to terrorise the industry before long. In a good way. Keep it up! I doubt I understood the concept of productivity and diligent study at fifteen.

your chin is huge o_o or you just drew it bad, work on that
your hands dont look right, maybe they are too small? remember they are almost as big as the head. also study from books more! i see all this life study (dont get me wrong its great!) but like, they all look like your hands in the mirror, and not everyone has your hands soo get the pdf for like Hogarth's Drawing Dynamic Hands! it's great i bought it the other day

    keep at it nibras

Hey, lilnebo!! Long time no peek, hun! Man, you are doing GREAT! You bring such awesome movement to sketches, oh boy do I LOVE seeing a picture move! @_@

Anyway, you mentioned a while before about bus pics. I have that same trouble myself at times, but we also have side seats so I can get away with that. XD Oooh, but that's amazing how you can draw them up without the crazed shaky lines. My specialty. LOL! Perhaps THAT is a useful strength in drawing people on a bus. Doing it while in movement probably will help strengthen your hold whenever you draw at all.

As far as your commission, not sure how you started it (I didn't look very far back) but perhaps using gesture "skeletons" for the pose first might help. His right arm seems scrunched, and yes, the hands are smaller, you already know that part! But maybe a guide--having a better measurement idea, might help out so the hands won't be as problematic.

*HUGS* Miss chatting with you now and again! I'll check in again sometime!

Great stuff, those last digis are a real improvement. Keep on studying anatomy, your faces look similar at times, and still kinda elongated.

Nice on getting your brother and sister to pose for you, Lilnebo! I know how you feel about how you get irritated that they couldn't stay still. Sometimes I draw my girlfriend too, and she always moves around like every 20 seconds, even though I ask her over and over to be still

I, by myself, tried to draw people from behind too before. But I stopped because I get bored soon and I don't think/feel it would benefit me much if I just do the same thing (drawing people's back and chairs)...

Nice effort, afterall! I like your SB! Keep drawing, Lilnebooooooo!

    Summer time to get better

I don't have much time right now but I just wanted to drop two things I finished today.
Thank you for all the comments they mean tons, I can't reply right now but I'll get to it.

I've started my holidays so I can start updating again
So summer's here, apart from friends and all that social jazz then I am going to be working my backside off because I am not too pleased with my skill level right now

    ==================================================

Screeny from PoP, did it today, I am doing a ton of movie stills but its still pretty hard for me but hey need to practise is all. Spent too much time on the face and not the rest

Something different for cgtalk's daily sketch. Was fun, 40 mins in photoshop:

Merchant, I'll probably rework this again as I am not very pleased with it at all, its just such a down level from other work I've been doing :

Working on a painting, around 30 + hours on it so far, I'll upload it when it's finished.

I just felt like doing this in the spur of the moment thing, I'll get a proper update soon. Upload everything and scan in all the pencils
    Thanks for looking

POP screeen is HAAAWT. The painting that is. And yea listen to the crawler O.o Am so proud As for the daily sketch. Looks fun. Though persp is off and legs are too long. And mind ur presentation. Typo looks lame. Otherwise its a fun sketch! As for the merchant I quite like em. Though you gotta push those values. And yea in some areas you dont. Highlights on his sleeve are too birght. Cloth doesn´t have that shiny highlights. And you gotta study cloth and learn how the reflective life and such works in the folds. I know its a paint but gotta doooo eeeet. Love the graphic designs. Sorry for my blub comment am tired eh. But i still love you
