    Introducing myself

    Hi,

my name is Antonio, im 27 years old, im from Portugal, a country located in the iberic peninsula, Europe. Im a photography student taking the course at Lisbon. My first contact with photography was 2 years ago, when i bought a Canon 300eos, 1 year later i bought the Canon 350D. Would love to experiment other equipment, unfortunately the prices are very high. I leave you guys with some links to my last photo projects:

Ok, about these i can tell that the third is more interesting
than the other two. Maybe you could have tried to put some other emotions
and compositions. I think you have cooler than this from the same series.

    this for example:

pic1 : What about n1. I think it's a casual snapshot and it says nothing to me. The composition
is not good. Try to crop the area which is not needed to the pic. It's not only for this shot i'm saying
it what to look in future.

pic2 : The same thing. To shoot the others work is a hard job. These must impress us when we
are watching them as a photo!

Welcome! Agreed, the first 2 have a snapshot feel to them. The last 2 (especially the one Headhunter posted from the site) conveys a much more conscious attention to aesthetics. good work, and lets see more.

thanks, guys. I understand the snapshot feel to it, im heavily influenced by photojournalism, where information and aesthetics are not always balanced.

I'm actually pretty satisfied with the aesthetical part of the first picture, and i dont think the composition is bad, and it's hard for me to understand what to crop, but we have diferent visual cultures, so it's understandable. Ill try to interiorize your thoughts, maybe ill get it in the near future.

I totally agree with the fact that a picture has to impress us, and these pictures aren't very impressive, indeed.

thanks for the critics, hope i get better.

The first 2 are good, but they lack interesting colour or focus. The third one is much better though.

I like the red/tan look of the first one.

I think in good PJ work those are the two essential elements that must indeed be balanced.

Its got some interesting geometry going on, no question about that. But maybe it would be better seen as a part of a series of urban landscape photos. Some pics look better against a thematic backdrop. Maybe in b/w?

I like the light in the last pic. Good time of day.
