hp, thanks
OMG! I'm so happy
No more school for me. EVER.![]()
On Monday will be my first A-level exam of doom. I have to take the following four of those final exams: Literature, Art, Theology and Mathematics. Thanks goodness mathematics is last so I have more time to study. (It's my most hated subject and I wouldn't take that exam if I could.)
More Bammes studies:
Unreferenced studies to follow... some day. When I manage to draw good ones![]()
Fantastic to see commitment to your ideas. I have just began to start illustrating again after years of rest (due to work/paying the bills).
I like your time-limit for a picture as it's hard to have the opportunity if you have other duties.
So...KEEP GOING! The drive will never leave you and you will always be learning even when you're a professional.![]()
i vote 4 moidhit please modhie sent these drawings on my id
BlackArt, thank you!Great to start illustrating again, I wish you success - keep going!
userrq, pardon?
Studying Bammes is fun
Some un-referenced ones:

Some moar.

Character concepts - I wanted to test if I could do that

omg, I wrote my first final exam yesterday (Literature). (Deutsch-Abiturprüfung! >_<) But it was surprisingly easy.
Some more Bammes

really nice book, lots of studies, the way i like it.
Keep it up the good work
Cheers
Really great studies, you're improvement in general is also inspiring. It's coming along the good way. Your study recommendation in another topic was helpful.
Sebastian - thanksit's actually very simple
You look at the image you want to copy; and try to "envelope" it into a big, simple shape, and draw that shape on paper. Then, you find the outer contour of the figure/image and draw it inside that envelope. The envelope allows to see and check proportions better. And when you have drawn the outer contour, you draw the details "inside" the figure. It takes some practice but in the end it saves time.
Whitevillage, thank youI'm glad if it was helpful.
I was really inspired yesterday evening; so even though I had an Abitur exam today, I painted some environments at night. They're done from photos, no colorpicking, about 10 minutes each.

More photo studies, 10 minutes each:
L's eye  I'm currently turning into a total Death Note fangirl. 10 minutes, no references.
![]()
*dances* Way to go with those photo studies!
i would think L would look even more emo though =P I totally love DN too...have you watched the movie? and these ppl:
http://behindinfinity.deviantart.com...ry/#Death-Note
as for the char concepts, i'm not sure how i feel about the lineart being with the soft shading...i would either change the line color to something softer looking (like dark brown maybe) or vary up the line quality. or maybe throw in some harder shadows/lites.
also perhaps the sides of the top lip should overlap the bottom on the outer edges a bit more. it's only really apparent on the girls...i know you're prolly going for a winged look but it looks a little strange.
great ideas and anatomy studies ^^

hp, thanksyes, I'm a DN fangirl, the movie rocks! and the photographs too
I especially love L. He's just so funny and adorable. Have you seen the scene in the 2nd (?) move where he falls off the chair? *laughs* I'm a fangirl. Also, thanks for the tips
oOHereticOo, thank you ^_^
Some new stuff (all from reference photos, about 10 mins each):
Argh, I have to study for final exams
![]()

Mirror studies.

(very quick drawings, about 5-10 minutes each)
portraits drawn from photographs (for a commission):

YAY! I passed my last, oral exam (maths)!!! with a C-
now time for drawing is almost endless!
The following sketches are of course copies. I still have one book that I want to finish copying from
All of them were drawn today.
That paper was bleached in the sun, hence the weird color/gradient.
Hey there, congratulations on your Abi! Now go study something art-related or I'll poke you with sharp stick!
Good dedication with the last studis, although I think a lot of them little peopple have awkward proportions. Just because you copy them from a 2D-Source doesn't mean you don't have to think about where those bosyparts are in space. That happens quite frequently with you drawings actually. look here: http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...uff/kiddo1.jpg
The head is somewhat deformed to the upper left. Are you left-handed?
Faust, thanks! no worries, me is gonna study fine art
The awkward proportions are because I just can't look at things properly yet. It'll come with practice. (I'm right handed) xD
Sebastian, thank you
Here's yesterday night's speedpainting orgy (photo studies after reference from Sinned-angel-stock - no colorpicking nor tracing whatsoever!)
And something I'll see in two years from now
![]()
Thanks for kind words.
Your studies are sweet..
I don#t think anyone here will get the icecream joke :>
Chupacabra, thanks
Hannes, I posted this image for you xD
Drawing without reference, proof of how much I need to work on anatomy
Buncha sketches
Posemaniac 60 second poses.
Studies after stock photos (sinned-angel-stock.deviantart.com) no color picking, tracing, blah blah. Photo studies are great! I learnt a ton
![]()
hey.......amazing thread, lots of great studies...
LOVE your anatomy and photo studies.
awesome job on the posemanic's as well. 60second poses are great.
sometimes your proportions look like they get a little off (eyes/head/etc) so just keep a lookout for that.
otherwise really great stuff. keep it up!
eey,
nice. I'm practacing with that posemaniacs site also because i got recommended that i must train on Anatomy. I saw your scketches a few page's back. But your's are much better than mine![]()
hopely i will be so good as you laterhow old are you exually?
just keep trying
can you please look at my (few) images and say what you think about it? i will be very greatfull
Sebastian
PS: i hate the geman language. it's so difficult. i'm dropping out of that class. not that it have anything to do with my of yours drawings
Diego, thank you!
Gus, thanks a bunch
Sebastian, thanksPosemaniac is definitely great practice! Draw 1000 poses and you'll certainly notice improvement.
I'm 19 years old now. And I can understand you don't like german, it's very hard to learn. Drawing is more important anyways
Anatomy studies, 50% Bridgman, 50% from imagination (to see what sticked).

Thanks for dropping by my sketchie. Girl, you are younger than me but your standard is so far ahead i'm embarrassed to put my works up. Nonetheless, keep it up okay? Watch out for the proportions during painting. The colors you have on them are awesome though.
And thanks for the mini-tutorial too! *subscribes*
