Naa, i went to city college for about 2 years, got A.S in Graphics then transfered to AAU. It was kinda a waste of time but at the same time it wasn't cause I strengthen my art skills a lot while at city college with self taught stuff; basically, I had a 2 year head start of everyone at AAU cause of it, so it's really up to you, If you need the time to train or if you think your ready for an art college. Cause most students straight out of high school tend to have the highest drop-out rate in AAU. Don't want to scare you or anything, but it's true. Another important note---I don't know about other art schools, but AAU's website has a transfer sheet of what you can transfer in from your community college. Choose the C.College that you are attending and just take the classes that are transferable, in that process, saving you money and time if you do decide to go there. I transfered like 32 units for my community college, so technically, I'm a Sophomore=). Hope this helps.
Oh, yeah, that's the first book I bought this semester. Best book ever. Although, Sometimes I feel Henry's student should learn more from classical artists rather than just absorb his style. They need to be more versatile with figure drawing. Oh, and if you ever want to meet in person, I literally live at Henry's workshop, lol.
