Nice sketches. I really like the work in the faces. you also have some really nice paintings. I really like the medusa one. It looks awesome and it's a different approach to medusa.

Thanks for the lightspeed response to my request, Kal. I'm from South Florida too, I live in the Hollywood area.
The second of your newest sketches: the woman lying on the ground with the blackened eye - she could be a tranquilized jaguar in animal form. If you were considering expanding on this, the white space that surrounds her body could be any environment or surrounding. A jungle floor? A man bent over in concentration, or frustration, the blackness of his back visible over the kitchen counter, a woman lies on the bed, her eye bruised, hotel chronicle 1, an illustration of one of the harsh sacrifices of beauty - male aggression. So now that it's evident that you can draw human beings life, personality, a purpose on the canvas, the movement is in motion. Now I know the marauder of the black women's section at Barnes and Noble..
I'll see you on RF, brethren. Thanks again for your presence on there. Is it okay if we have an interview in the art thread while you post more of your work?

D, I just wanted to come through and show love and let you know that I love everything that you have up here. I also wanted to let you know that I started a sketch book too. =) I couldn't sleep tonight so I felt like doing something productive. I am gonna have hell to pay tommorow I so know it,lol. I won't be laughing in the morning. My sketch forum is Lege1's Sketch Chamber_001. Aight bro, much love and respect always and thank you for all you do for me.
great style and stuff!
even if the start of the thread lets me not think of a sketchbook, but your "sketchy" -style makes it for a good turn then;-)
keep it up!
hey dude, you got some really nice things going in here. Strong linework too!
Blue Star - i appreciate all that
Vulgar` - ILL take on that sketch..at that point i really could have taken it anywhere..its actually the sketch for the painting in my first post..shes laying in the middle of a pitcher plant field. her eye isnt blackened in the bruied sense its more like a supernatural type darkened eye..the eyeball itself is blackened, the skin around it is not bruised..but i loved that spin you put on it..and thanks for doin that interview man..
Lege1 - no doubt..i know youd do all the same for me..put a link to your sketchbook in your signature so i can get to it.
Fantasio - thanks man..yea, i like those images so i threw them in there..some are a little old but i still wanted to show them.
ikuru - thanks..ya know i was looking at your medusa..i think i liked your earlier versions a little better than the finished one..but i really like the process you used to get your result..and the composition..i like dynamic stuff like that.
some new digital portriats..i dont know, i've just been into doing these lately..im doin some sketchwork though so ill post those soon..thanks again everyone.
Wow, great live drawings!
I realy like how you bend the proportions in one of your first pictures.
Keep it up.

Yo thanks for the sketchbook post D. On the "Life's Work." There's nothing wrong with that. We got plenty of space to work on here to do that and you know I like people to see where and what I come from. I don't feel that CA is strictly for repping masterpieces bro. I think it's good that others know where I am coming from so that way they know how to relate to me as I make progress. The other upside is that I don't have a website yet and don't know when I will slow down enough in my life too. Hopefully in the next few years to come especially when I ever get out of college. Anyway this is a great place to have an online portfolio and relate to others as they relate to you. You gotta know where you come from to know where you're going and I could never let the past go cause it won't let go of me. I am gonna continue posting my better work after the highschool years most importantly cause it makes me feel good to see what I've done and the others seem to enjoy it much. Much love bro and keep doing your thing.

Those are some excellent sketches, man. Really liking your style. You seem to have such a good grasp of volume and lighting in them. Love how you sometimes also give them some personal touch, like skewing the faces a bit and such. Great stuff
Also, your CHOW Medusa was a beauty!![]()

hey, good stuff here... I like how you play with distorting some of your figures, yet seem to have a good handle on anatomy and how the form moves. I'm impressed w/ the spray painted portrait as well. The way the wood grain plays with the skintones is interesting. Keep posting!![]()
Wow, this is all really great stuff. I'd love to crit, but I can't. I love the almost hatched look you have in your digital stuff. That's an interesting technique. It reminds me a bit of Leyendecker. Keep up the great work.

Wow, that finished piece is really great. The expression on the graffiti artists face is wonderful, and the hand gestures also. So tricky to get hands right but you seem to have no worries in that area! Wish I could say the same for myself! Hehe. Is there a deeper meaning behind this painting, or is it just an composition that you thought worked well? I mean the way I see it, it's almost like he's the Genie of the spraycan!
Cx
Extremely awesome CHOW piece, and I really dig that realistic look of all your portraits. Dude. I look up to you.
