Well here is something i did in model drawing class .... its a big picture and as u can see its 2 scans spliced together but well its something i will try to bring more of those in the next days.....

I like your art studies. One advise (and I am the first one not follow it also I should do it..) when you are drawing on art class.. try to use a big brush, or a big pencil, bigger is simple for you and help you to concentrate on the shape and not on the line.

you've already made some progress! try to use less lines in your sketches. you don't really need to trace over one line many times. sometimes you don't even have to depict all the lines you see- just catch the proportions and make an impression of the volume-it'll make the drawing much more dynamic. then you may end up with something like that

Anjin: Yeah its true i get lost changing it to a picture I like! but well this is a scan of a picture that i got time to play with... most of the pictures i got left are that kind of pictures!
malpanka: Yeah ive done those and others but i think it is a waste of time to scan them in unless there is something that is more pretty to look at at the same page

Well im way to tired to scan another of these big pictures to night... just worked 18 hours today but hopefully more tomorrow cya!

This is looking good, you're always at it, that's very promising! Try to watch the lines, though, they're a tad too sketchy, think simple

Hello. ello.

well here i am again, alot has happened in the last few months. I started studies at Reykjavík school of visual arts, one of thirty that got in (80 people wen to the application test required to take to get in) so im pretty satisfied. Ive learnt lot in the last month, been taking classes like model drawing, photography, computers, drawing one and art history, so its pretty cool.

Well i have made a lot of new drawings but um only gonna include one today as where im a REALLY lazy scanner.

This is the first REAL painting i do in photoshop so im learing my way around that now, its not finished im still shaping the skull. But every crit on this picture is GREATLY appreciated

but im happy with some details.. like the head on the big guy and the upperpart of the legs on the big guy! but well maybe ill finish it sometime later! im gonna start something different now! happy 8th of november! or something

as for creature design, i think the sketches are a bit tight and seems like you are set on the silhouettes, personally i like to start with something really loose whether it be a silhouette or line sketch and then tighten up once i have a better concrete idea of what i'll be spending the next minutes or hours rendering

i think the proportions are throwing the silhouettes off and i agree it does have a bit of pokemon/digimon feel to em almost chibi like creature design, you have good imagination i just think what's in your head and how it gets relayed to the paper will improve over time

anatomy studies of humans as well as animals can never hurt!

also a good technique to finding forms fast is to use values to push (darks) and pull (lights) forms

Snootchy: Thanks very much i have lots of anatomy studies and im currently in anatomical drawing in school so (my scanner is a bit broken so there is nothing here)

anyways here is a wip picture ive been painting today and yesterday maybe four hours so far not quite sure... im pretty satisfied with, and i think im going to render it a bit more =), do the hair, ear and suit better =) and try to get some texture on the skin. It would be great to get some crits on this one

the first one is my first attempt at a speed painting.. took one hour.. i have absolutely no idea how to do speed paintings so if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be awesome.

Hello friends if you are out there...

been a really busy week ive been painting alot and im starting to prepair my portfolio and so on and so on so i will dump a lot of stuff here soon hopefully...

anyways i have one thing to show now

its a painting of a punker with a mohawk (i know it looks like hes having a volcano erupting from his head or that he had just been impaled witha sword through his head but it is a WIP ive yet to pu the 3d in the mohawk..

but this is my first actual painting where everything is painted... i supprised myself cuz i didnt think i could paint... AT ALL! but seems i do okey (if i may say so myself)

anyways would be great to get some crit on all my recent crap...

Art school is good and I'm pretty sure you'll get some good tips from there. Those watercolors are pretty good and the sketches on top are neat.

Alright I'm gonna give you alittle critique. I know I have to work on it 24/7 and that's values. The problem is there is flatness to a couple of these works. You gotta get down the lighting alittle bit more and shadowing. I swear doing still-life studies helps you a bunch out. If you can sit in front of a thing as simple but as complicated as a apple and study the crap out of it for hours but get it to look pretty realistic in a digital or traditional drawing that will translate to all you other works. Well a lot has been going on and i have been up in my head doing my portfolio and finishing a 2 minute long stop motion video.

The video is called thinking inside the box and my 14 year old brother took care of the music and i think it came out great
