    Don't see this - Mauricio's Sketchbook

Hey guys, i'm Mauricio Marinho (this name must be difficult to pronounce in english) 19 years old, and i finally decided to post something to have some critiques after reading this http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=145606

I think i've take so long because of the high level of work that i see here, my ones sucks, so that's why. But, anyway, i'll be posting my drawings and see if you wanna spend some time criticizing it, if you do, thanks a lot, i really apreciate it.

That's it, i hope you don't like it (and say why.)

I agree with you, their faces really looks a bit stiff. I'm reading one of his books, "Creative Illustration", didn't finished yet.

    Thanks

Judging from what I have seen so far, you have a good grasp on anatomy, proportions, and character design. However, I would suggest that you work on your gestures/poses.

I will work on that, my biggest concern is about lighting and colors, i don't think they look good right now, i'm gonna make it better, maybe more contrast would be fine. Thanks.

Tought it would be difficult to see, but i've made a little text on the screen, i wanted it to be without that, then just with visual clues the viewer would identify the idea. But i thought it was a bit unreadable, i will work on it, maybe without text would be better. Thanks

Hey again. Finished Loomis's first book (in chronologic sequence) "Fun with a pencil".
Below are some studies of it, a resized painting that has been posted earlier, some other studies
and a hand study, even been a little old, that i actually like.
That's why is really important to have critiques on that type of thing,
i may be not seeing what's wrong

Last image is a 3D model that i'm working on, about 5 hours of modelling, going for the painful part:
RIGGING! ... . I enjoy doing lighting on the other hand...

I will not stop studying drawing, it was just modeled to have something else on my mind, copying
the drawings were starting to get boring, so i thought that would be a good idea to forget it for a day or two.

Again, if you want to criticize, thank you and i haven't forgot those who have commented so far, i'm reading
through their sketchbook, but they have a looot of stuff, i will be criticizing (read: helping to grow) there soon.

Finally posting something new. I now have a full time job, so i don't have more that precious lot of free time that i had. But anyway, just trying to draw something everyday (:

Any kind of criticism would be awesome, thanks.
