Just thought I'd start off here by posting a recent BioShock fan art. Completed today, expect updates working both retrospectively and... well... the opposite of retrospectively (what's the word for that anyway?).

Here's the process of a pic I made for a recent competition, I'll also include a LINK to the finished full-res pic. The upload manager says the file exceeds the allowed number of KB in regards to file size. Anyway. Enjoy!

The cartoon work is pretty strong, but the last colour piece needs some sharper edges and stronger contrasts to help create a focus point.
Plus, some darker cool or warm colours instead of so much black would have added alot more energy to the colours.

Ahhh I see what you mean! Yeah, people have said that my realistic paintings seem to be too.... "pastelly" or something, as in the contrast looks off. Thank you for the very helpful advice!

These images here are for a personal project I'm working on in my spare time. You've already seen a piece from it actually, the guy with the brown hair and the sword on the pic titled "Janus 10/07" is from it.

The project is called "Vial of Janus" and is going to be an online flash series. It's about a boy in modern day who discovers he is the descendant of the Roman God "Janus" (and so he bears the title of the God). He discovers that the afterlife is actually a mix of the religious beliefs of Roman Paganism and Christianity, and that Janus was responsible of holding the key to the Gates to Hell.

Basically, Hell has broken free and his running amock in the spirit world and Janus has to stop it. There's a LOT more to the story but... Well... Mum's the word. Anyway, enjoy, and again constructive crit. is very much encouraged!

Just a quick post. One of them is a sketch of the musician "Frank Turner", but his face came out too small in this pic, his forehead too large. I'm still inept at life drawing...

One of them, the Gunship, is replacing the Helicopter model for a mod I'm working on for BF2142.

Big update!!!!

A bunch of Life Drawing images. The female models are from my earlier classes, the male ones (top two pics) are from tonights class. This was my fourth lesson of Life Drawing.

I also have a speedpainting at the end there, took about 50 minutes and was more a practice for silhouetting than anything... and also a couple designs for a game for work.
