Waw! pastel pictures are awesome! hand anatomy awesome! as for tha natomy in various other pictures it's a little of like the Minos CHow, the old guy seems to be odd is some way, i can't relay point it out because im no where near perfect on anatomy my self, also the other fellas right cald needs to maby be a touch longer or not as toned because it looks a lil stumpy. i shall say no more tho.
Fantastic work as allways! i expect to see more!! good eye for art![]()
thanks for the feedback, JRStagg! Yes, the Minos picture looks very odd, I can see what you mean. All the full body pictures were drawn without references, and I have big problems to get those right.
WIP for the new chow, herald of the queen:

Hey good to see you posting more, your recent pic has potential!all i'd advize on this is to study horse/human anatomy, and then combine the both to get the horse and the human working together and looking good! GREAT! wip! keep it up!
Moar tho! want lots Moar pics!

The finished medusa. She didn't make it to the poll, though.
Last weeks cow; metamorphosis from ugly to beautiful. I forgot to put it on my usb stick, so I could not enter the contest in time.![]()

spanish high inquisitor WIP. I've bought a wacom last week, and this is the first painting I've made with it.

I believe your monster/animal paintings are your strongest ones. Your portraits looks cool too, but i believe you need to 'sharpen' your anatomy and proportion a little bit more, nothing that some studies can't solve!
Your bones study is looking amazing too!
Keep it up!
theres a certain biblical touch to your art - its rare seeing something like that nowadays but its really nice.
I like the Harpy work; the painting and coloring is well-done. I think something that could use revisiting the main harpy's face; I feel like it gets too blurred there-- The second harpy has nice definition, and the main harpy's body does too, but her face is out of focus.
I like the jungle bird as well, but a question about it: Did you resize it to be smaller? The jungle is smooth and nicely detailed, but the bird seems a bit too rough in spots-- Possibly due to resizing. It makes it look off to me...
I love the concept sketches for your medusa, very nice detail and concept there. In the finished peice, it's my opinion that the sword and arm of the warrior attacking her are not correctly angled or something-- It looks off.
I hope my comments are helpful; I'm trying to provide feedback and constructive criticism. All in all keep up the good work, I look forewards to seeing more. =)

Thank you, Taven. You are right about the harpy. The bird was a watercolor painting; so it had to be scanned and resized, and that makes almost everything look terrible. :/ The medusa... well, all the men's anatomy is bothering me. Must study that

Also from life - I'm far out of my comfort zone with this, because I've never really drawn inorganic stuff, and i have some difficulties with perspective.

lots of improvement since the first post!
i really like your selfportraits - they have expression, you look concentrated, a bit melancholic and exhausted. but i would look at selbst2's head structure again, i think you need a larger brainpan.
in your last post i prefer the evil sheep, it nearly looks like a real monster but still is a sheep - cool! a suggestion would be to look at real sheep's pupils - they are oval, that could be a nice touch.
Lietje - Thank you!
katinki - Thank you for the crits, I appreciate that very much, and what you say makes sense.![]()
both about 2 hours. I'm finally getting a lot faster with the wacom.
