This is a graphic background that I worked on during Computer App 2 class when I had nothing to do using Photoshop Elements. I really like it and I made another, but I didn't have time to send it to my email to save it on my computer.
    I will show tomorrow hopefully.

You have a very good start here. I make this suggestion to anyone learning the human form. Get a sketch book and use it only for figure study. Go to a park, downtown, bus stop...anywhere with a lot of people and make quick gesture drawings. This enables you to see how people move and sit, what their bodies are doing as they perform these movements. You'll be surprised at how quickly the book fills up and before you know it, you will have captured hundreds of figures with very few lines keep it up!

@ JailHouseRock: Aww! Yay I got a fan!

Thank you and I'm glad to see you again. I have graduated high school on June 7th and I am hoping to go into the graphic design program at my community college for 2 years and transfer for NC School of the Arts.

@ RoboBobo: Thank you for the wonderful suggestion.
I have often thought of going out and drawing people from life.
I live in a small town so we don't have very good parks or downtown train stops. xD
Although I can make-do in a restaurant or in the food cort section of the mall that I love going too. I kinda get nervous to think about what would happen if someone caught me drawing them. I don't do well socially sometimes and I'd be afraid they'd want me to stop drawing them. >.<
But I won't try and let that stop me because I am really wanting to draw from life and I hope to start soon. It would be a great help and wonderful learning experience. =D

Hey good stuff seeing progress from the initial post. Just watch the proportions a bit. on that loomis study you should check that the waist is at least similar the front seems a little too skinny and the back just a tad wide. don't be afraid to draw in reference lines then you can seewhat lines up with what. keep up the good work.

You're off to a nice start here. For some reason this reminds me of lefran's sketchbook... watch the eyes on your more realistic pieces, they tend to get a bit large.

As Robobobo says, drawing from life is the best thing you can do. Don't be afraid to just sit there and draw people, I find that most of the time they'll ignore you. However that's here in the UK, dunno about the US population. If anything they'll be a confidence booster.

Try drawing buildings and anything with deep perspective as well as this will train you to look at your images and understand creating space [I'm no teacher so not very good at explaining these things].

You excel in your use of colour and drawing, but drawing from life will teach you a lot more than photos can.

    Keep going.

I have a piece that I completed during art class a few weeks ago, and the most recent one is still in the art room.

I took a picture of this one today because it's so big that it can't go through the scanner unless I did it in sections... I may later on, but I took a picture for now.

Wow, girl. I really like these faces!!!!!!!!!!! I especially love the way you did the African American skin color, it is soft, realistic, not muddy, and still artsy. What did you do this with?

I have a tendency to mix mud after a while :-) no matter WHAT I am painting :-)

I like the crazy colors you daringly use; the teals and pinks! So bright! It's awesome! The picture in your avatar is nice, nice feeling to it, very sunny. You are on the right track!
