    Stirring

I'm posting as an art lover, much more than a painter. I dabble but you have found your theme, or that's what I call it anyway. It's a thread of feeling that runs through an artist's best work.

For me, and I'm sure each person will be affected differently, I was struck by the beauty emerging from desolation. I noticed the shark-like imagery in the ships on the first one and the rocks that also looked like sharks emerging.

I noticed that luminescent green in the water on another one, contrasting the starkness of the rest of reality there.

    Stirring work.

hey bud, great stuff you got going on here. I have a question for you, and I hope you can answer this. I notice in your enviros, especially the cityscapes, you have several small blots that represent lights and such. Here is a perfect example: http://www.jamespaick.com/images/ent..._port_full.jpg

Do you paint every single one of those small lights by hand? or do you use a different technique. Reason I'm asking, is because I think im taking the hard way out when I paint my enviros. Adding little details like that will take me hours upon endless hours I cannot afford to waste. Anyway, really i'd love to hear back from you James.

    Take care!
    ~Mick

Holy FUCK, dude. Your work was bad ass before, but this is on a whole other level. I hope there's more hidden in your sleeve. I'll be waiting... somewhat impatiently.
