My First Sketch Book

Hi All, this is my first post here and my first online sketch book ever. I have done alot of paper drawing and im ok at it but i really wanna start doing digital art using photoshop and the wacom volito 2 I just bought. As soon as my new scanner is delivered I will upload some on my paper drawings.

Until then here is my first ever digital drawing done with my wacom tablet (first time i ever used a tablet too ), would love to here some pointers and get some links to any helpful tutorials for begineers.

Hey Dak! Welcome! Pretty good for your first try on tablet!

I think what you need to do is to try and start out with simple shapes and block in the lights and darks from there. Then after that you can get into smaller details like hair and wrinkles in the face and whatnot. That way you can establish a sense of form and structure to your figure. Also since it's your first time using the wacom, I think you just need to get use to it some more. Keep doing it and you'll get better, it just takes practice.

Hey welcome to concept art !! Dak try starting out with pencil sketches studies of light and shadow i think becoming proficient at drawing is the most important thing for you right now. Keep working the tablet but what is more important for you right now is to keep doing both! Don't drop your drawing for the tablet!! why not post some of your drawings?
