For this Challenge we Had 38 images started, 34 going to poll. D Several first time entries, WELCOME! several returning past winners. WOOT

And two that nearly got rejected because they made several entries on several posts… (cough edujante, nram, cough ) make my life easy please peoples.

3people did not outside host their image They will not got to poll. Sorry to be a hardass about this but with 38 entries I can’t be bothered to rehost your image because you didn’t read the much repeated directions.

Ok, here's my take on the subject. I was thinking of doing a sort of video game environment. This scene would be when the hero is about to go through the gates of Hell to battle Satan. Before he enters, the gates close, and the hero has to battle a couple of giant skeletons that reanimate from their chained state. As soon as he or she defeats the skeletons, the gates open and he enters another level.

The older ones always knew. Makai'li would get louder, and begin to argue with everyone. Sam'pai was the same, only he would take a swing at the children with his old walking stick. Sooner or later someone would be sent into the mountain, and sure enough, the Inside Earth would show its light through the cracks, and a strong hunting party would go to the middle of the island. The Great Wheel would turn, and the Waters would fill the cavern with steam, and the elders would be at peace again.

So many good entries this round! Nearly voted for csoldier7 for the fire alone but my vote went to Edujante-I think his entry captured the mood of the book more so than the rest. Also liked Mitze, Dabble, Thalion, Jfwalls....

Edujante, has my vote this round. nice sense of design and i like the feeling of doom surrounding the img. aweomse use of values too to draw the eye right to the center of focus. sneaky use of the eow title too. only crit is i would've like to see other colors =D

RogerAdams, nice usage of colors/texture to show depth. the mix of cool and warm is very nicely done and pleasant to look at.

Gaius, u did it again this round! LOL man i dig your stuff. the painting says inferno but seeing this is an environment of the week and your image focused more on the 2 humans/subjects, i had to give my vote to Edujante instead. ^^; but frackin awesome work.

JessiBean, original. =D you are probably the only one who was really thinking outside the box this round. gave me a good chuckle.

Thalion, epic, looks like a movie poster! i like the overall image and the description/text adds a lot. nice work!

Corrick, great use of shapes, and POV. the little bit of the forest/sky showing int he back there really adds a lot. nice values too. always interested to see what u come up with.

Hyver, i commented on your pic previously already. really dig it. almost had my vote this round.

Ok many apologies for anyone I dont mention but there is just too many this round.

Hyver Nice work but a little flat , maybe push the contrasts a little to seperate the background, mid ground and foreground.

ConceptBloke Fiery, nice speed paint, love the leaf brush! lol just kidding.

Corrick Brillant image as always. Would have gotten my vote if it hadnt been for your lava, lava is sort of gloopy and yours is bit too watery. Also in your image it seems too cool compared to the cast light on the face.* which is brillant btw*It isnt strong enough as the light source.The cool section of the forest through the gap is inspired.

Ok Finally Yanimator got my vote. Lovely dynamic image. Indiana jones, adventure inspired , I am sucker for anything cinematic.
Though I dont like the rope bridge its scale bugs me. I think its because the sense of depth in the image isnt consistant , what I mean is that the rock stucture on the sides could be brought forward into the foreground more and that would help with the scale of the bridge, then that frames the middle ground and the aircraft. The arches in the middle are brillant btw.

Han : I just think the white "sky" drew too much attention and harms the reading of your pic.

Gaius, no worries, it is indeed water, but you'd be absolutely correct if it wasn't... no one wants thin lava. I debated on what would come out of the mouth and went a different direction.

I'm still vacillating on my vote, too many amazing entries. Little disappointed that Nightblue didn't make it, I was an admirer... look forward to the next round, anyway. I'll post up when I get a chance.

This vote was a lot harder than i thought.
