Hey. It's great to see what you're recently drawing. I sometimes visit your website to look at those cityscape paintings but they seem like they were done long time ago.
This storyboard feels so alive and dynamic that it could work as standalone piece of art. Just put it into flash file with some soundtrack and subtitles .
I also like this swirling lines ink sketch with female face that's on the first page. It's very simple but visually pleasing for some reason.

    Thanks for inspiration .

hey guys and gals! been meaning to update in here for a while now, but i been sooooooo busy post workshop with work that i literally havent found the time. so i have slowly been trying to gather up stuff to post, i think i have at least enough for a small update. most of this stuff is from alla prima class, another self portrait, random drawings ill sqeeze in here and there, and a quick little still life too..yay! been doing more stuff for downloadables, got an enviroment tutorial like 90% recorded and two very in depth storyboarding demos that i have finished recording, and are in cue for editing, for any of you who are interested in that type of thing. while im on that subject, i just want to thank all of you who have been supporting our site by downloading these videos. this place is gonna get the maintainence and upgrades it needs thanks to all of you, and hopefully you guys are getting something from them too.
ill post replies to all yourprevi comments sometime in the near future. hae to just post and run but i gotta get back to work! kisses and thanks fo lookin'....-c36

Simply remarkable work Coro, what a fantastic post. First off Can not wait for new videos from you all the ca vids so far have been worth their weight in gold, entertaining, informative and the money goes to bettering ca.org , I can't thank you guys (everyone involved). Lovin' the pencil work. But, your oils CORO damn you is there any chance we might see a Coro's ala prima portrait "book" at some future workshop? I know you might never get the printing exactly to where you'd like it for the price/ratio but, I know I'm not alone in wanting my own Coro' painting book. I'll start a petition if I have too... Anyway thanks for posting!

A wealth of knowledge those videos have, its simple things also. Kinda like when i was watching you doing the digital environment and I totally went "uugh duh" when you pulled that perspective brush.
Love that cute octopus creature thing,
is the last one a matte painting?

    dear coro36ink,

your oil portraits are sick as hell. i remember you saying something about using a lot of linseed oil or something to get that kind of richness?

i saw the little squid toy in a magazine a while back and saw that painting in seattle. digital photos don't do it justice compared to the real thing. fucking awesome man. you also do some tight ID work. you're one of the rare artists around here who can pretty much hold it down in every area.

are they gonna make that bum game anytime soon? i think it should come out for wii, so we can all gain higher skill points in bum rushing and bum fighting. uh, yeah.

    hope all is well

    Dear Sir Coro,

The portrait stuff looks like it's thick to thin/dark to light is it? Do the still lifes have the same method? Do you still rock mixed media in your sketchbooks? Love the texture on all the paintings. Inspirational stuff

Whaa! Great update, mister! I love the oils - loose and sparing - very nice. The painting of the toy - is that something of your own design? Oh BTW, cheers for doing the gun design tutorial. I applied some of the techniques to a vehicle I did recently and it really benefitted from having watched your process. Check it out here if you get the chance:http://conceptart.org/forums/showpos...&postcount=432

Dope update. Really digging that little squid-thing still life. It jumps of the canvas. All the oils got a thick juicy painterly look that's frikkin rad. Very Cool.
