Coinpurse- that portrait is actually part of series i'm doing for one of my classes, it's suppose to be a tumor or something like that, a disfiguration you could say...the rest of the paintings are similar in that they all have some shit like that going on..its actually a self-portrait as well
anyways definitely gotta jump on those studies!!

Don't worry man I'm 20 and looks like your miles ahead of me =P

Your stuff is really nice. Very fluid and organic, try to steer clear of styles and cliche though. There is always a long way to go man, art is never-ending, just accept that you can't beat everyone or be the best in the world.

Everyone brings something new to the table.. I like a lot of your stuff. =)

i'm digging the pages dood. Just don't let others work influence yours TOO much. The thing is to take what you like from each artist and learn from it. I mean hell, i'm guilty of it as well. I remember from the workshops that it's good to be able to do what everyone else does well, but it's even better to do your own thing the best... or something like that. Hope it makes sense man. Cheers!

    Darktwin-Thanks for the pointers

Zord-Hey man i totally know what you mean, I'm still trying to get away from that but just recently(like really recently) i felt like i was on the right track... because now, whenever i draw, i don't even think about it anymore...i used to think "how do i make it like his or hers and make it good as them" the whole time i was drawing...I got rid of that at least and now when i draw i just do it cause its fun and it feels fun and I'M interested in what i'm drawing and focus on that instead of having a jumble of other artist drawings swimming around in my head.. and do it how feels best, instead of drawing to emulate the movements of someone else's hand...i know that its corny haha but yea i realized copying just doesn't work

a good example of that is wes burts way of designing his pages, i mean hes so good at it and i used to try to do it cause it was so cool...but i don't even like drawing shapes and patterns and all that other crazy ass awesome shit he does, it just doesn't complement my flow of drawing, i finally realized that and asked myself if i don't even like it t why the hell am i doing it

why do people have to be so damn inspirational...haha

    Nice update dood.

I totally agree with you about doing what feels natural. Copying others work can help your own but ultimately it's what YOU do that decides the lines, design, and overall feel of the work. Big ups on that.

The faces come with practice; I like going where there's a variety of people, like at a coffeeshop or student union of a school. They move around a lot and forces you to focus more on gesture and form rather than rendering.

The tiny captions along the drawrings are funny, I like the 'fork arrow.'
    Cheers man!

Hey there, thanks for checking out my SB.

Awesome sketches, love your loose lines. Characters are nice, too.
I like the digi-paint done with touch pad on bottom of page 1, really nice lighting.

    Can't wait to see more.

watched seven samurai today and was itching to draw the whole movie...started right after, it has great designs and i loved the costumes
did not render much(although i do want to eventually flesh one out.sweet patterns and designs, exciting!)...trying to learn to draw, get depth with line, it is the foundation after all...plus they were too fun so i just wanted to keep drawing them
probably be awhile till i stop drawing these guys

    Oh man...
Those paintings are disturbing... but awesome. I love them. Also, your pencil stuff is looking good. I'm digging your ideas- and you're developing a certain sense of unique design. Keep working hard, and don't stop drawing! Thanks for the comment on my sketchbook
