The claw guy from yesterday is the best thing on the page. Very bold and graphic-y; nice clean colors. Transparent color tends to look "dirty" when it's heavily worked. At least, I can't seem to get the hang of it.

    Keep going!
I was once on the receiving end of a critique so savagely nasty, I marched straight out of class to the office and changed my major (sketchbook).

    Hey Doctor,

This is a nice start to a thread. Lots of mostly realized work with lots of good choices. However, your fundamental drawing skills are lacking, as in your solutions for how the lighting falls on the figure and how the anatomy works, specifically how the musculature affects the visible surfaces and planes.

Start working longer on the beginning steps of the drawings, the linework, the proportions, blocking in the shades in a logical way. It'll go a long way to helping to finish a piece.

Also, spend as much time drawing from life as possible. It's critical.

hey, while I like the claw guy, i have to disagree with stoats respectfully as i think that your still lifes are very well done, the time and attnetion you put into them really shines through, the texture on the orange and apple both are great and so is the lighting

I really like a lot of the things you show here. Your use of color and shading is done very well. I like the picture of the cat and moon jus the way it is, are you planning on changing it at all?
Are you living in the matrix or do you think all of this is real? For me, well I am pretty dang sure it is the matrix. beings.

hey man i love this sketchbook, but for the stiff life humans a little tip i can offer is start with light contour lines and once youve got that mastered then the shading only comes easy. for critiquing just work on those contour lines and try depth in shading, ill keep checking in to see your progressing. hope this helps

cool, like the new updates, especially the last water color one. the single guy walking, it has its feel, wish it was kinda darker tho, like grayish colors some where around there.

hey man looking good around the neighborhood. i like the last post, but he seems a little to bulky though, maybe its around his shoulder areas, try putting more muscle lines and details, but as for color goes its good ^.^ also, his necklace so to be gravity defined, its not hanging... lol hope this helps, i look forward to the updates.
