Environment: Alien Tree O' Life

hey all. here's my midterm assignment for my advanced texturing class. assignment was to create an indoor scene. made with max and photoshop. i'll link a larger version as soon as i find some space on the net. c&c welcome. ~thx

Not bad except i have no idea whats going on in it, is tha weird center thing the tree? other than that i like how u pulled off the water effects and ur modeling seems nice. u should explain this more

ok, where to start? um, the thing in the center is the tree. it's not a tree you'd find here. it's found on an alien planet. it is the last know living organism besides the human race and it is cradleing (sp?) the last flower known to mankind. it is currently being held in an undisclosed location in the alpha quadrant under strict surveilance and must be monitored hourly to make sure it's healthy and can hopefully lead to more geneticly grown versions so that they may be planted in order to re-colonize all the old planets. *whew* hehe

as for the pic. nothing much is going on. it's just the tree in it's containment cell. there's no water in there, so i'm not sure what you're thinking the water effects are. i've got a few more versions i'd like to post up as soon as i get some more space on the web. i'm almost full at my schools hosted site and i need the rest of the space for my classes. thanks again for viewing =)
