Yay! Your moleskines are pure candy. How long have you been drawing for now? I love how your work holds realism, but with elements of manga! That's something you don't see everyday. Only when you decide to upload and share

You're my main source of inspiration here. Just love your pencils sooo much!! Looking forward to the next update.

Loaded with epic win. So much atmosphere in those pencils. Do you use some kind of fixative on them?

If I rendered that much graphite on a moleskine, it would look like the underside of a mudhound in short order.

    Epic!

Link: Some great art by Inshoo/shaonav a korean artist. Similar to Alien or Hyung Tae Kim. He updates a lot and his work is amazing!

Damien Levs: Glad you like the moleskines! I've been drawing since 2007. I think I'm a bit different than most artists because I didn't really draw when I was growing up.

    John T: Thank you~

Yor: Thanks for dropping by again!

MacTire: Thanks, hopefully I don't disappoint this time.

p sage: I don't use fixative. I usually start in the top left, and then draw outward from there so that I don't smudge. I also draw upside down and sideways a lot so that my hand doesn't smudge anything.

    Happy halloween?

Apologies for the absence. Next update I will do some more watercolours. That will be the goal! I ran out of watercolor paper and have been too lazy to get some more.

The white paper ones are the kinds of studies I do when I don't feel like drawing anything. They're done pretty quickly - for faces - about 20 mins each...

As others have said already, those moleskin sketches are insane. Do you just randomly start doodling or do you have a preconceived composition when you start? It all seems to come together nicely as an illustration at the end which is awesome.

eager to see more digitals, the skill definitely transfers.

Those moleskins are indeed very nice.

doesn't look like you're having any trouble with faces. Those color studies don't suck either.

Do you use any refs in the moleskin sketches oer are they from the top of your head?

Thanks everyone! If anyone has any critique for my work, I would love to hear it. I feel a bit stagnated and seem to be producing similar mistakes (that I don't know how to fix). I would like to challenge myself by trying to draw in different ways in order to see things differently. I will be forever in gratitude.

I'll also come critique you if you'd like!

That means if you want me to draw something (make me work on something) you can make me do it! And I'll definitely do it! 100%! >_>

Mangix: You're the first person to mention that! I actually try to make my sketchbook pages flow compositionally. I specifically use graphical elements (eg. text &/or lines), contrast (eg. lighter faces against darker hair/background) , and soft/hard edges to make your eye move around the page easier. I don't have any idea in mind when I start drawing though. No thumbnails or greater picture in my head. I just keep doodling.

Bakker: All of the moleskine stuff is from my head (except the two smaller moleskine pages from my last post). Usually I put a note above a page if I use a reference. Although I forgot to do that in my last post. I don't use references for poses and generally don't use it for the objects in those pages. My typical workflow for my moleskine pages is to go to McDonalds, turn up my music & draw all day without any distractions. It's very effective! I recommend people try it if they are looking for ways to become more concentrated on drawing. It also forces you do draw without reference, and work on drawing from imagination (if thats your objective).

    The_Flying_Dutchman: Thank you!
walnut: Thanks, I like that one as well ;o. It's of the amazing looking So Yeon [more] who I've had a thing for recently.

Trying to work on different things and mix my style/focus up for this post.

I've been wanting a moleskin type of SB for some time know cuz i really like the filling of the pencil on that type of paper.Seeing your stuff...i don't think im going to sleep tonight(probably go out and buy one of those SB and start drawing at Mcdonalds, haha)
but seriously,is it the best way to practice drawing from you imagination when you are "away"?
I notice that, when im in boring classes drawing from my imagination things comeout better then when im at home trying to draw from no reference even though i can have them if i need them.
    keep yup the amazing work!
