I like the idea of the skull's teeth inside the jack-o-lantern. Very cool.
The texture mapping looks like you are using a proceedural. I think it would look better though if it had a more hand constructed texture look.

You also need to tone down the bump map by quite a bit. Pumpkins should not look like stucco.

Thanks for your comment Mephisto. I think you're right. I didn't use a procedural, but the map I did use has a quite uniform noise.

Anyway, I'm satisified enough. The render took me at least 12 hours on high resolution and right now I need my system for new renders.

Ok, you've got me: I've improved the bump texture and am now rerendering. An update will follow later.
