GReat job on the little bugger. Whats he stealing btw? Candy, or marbles. With it being a halloween thing, Im assuming its candy, but you never know...

    Good job!

Very, very nice. I like the lighting, and colors. Cool concept as well. Reminds me of the comic "Johnny the homicidal maniac".

Yeah I love the vibrant colours and the lighting. The character design is very Tim Burton and looks like a lot of the stuff from his book of cartoon scribbles and poetry. If you don't own it then you MUST get it, your style and humour are really similar. I hope you take this as the compliment it was meant to be and not an insult. Its called the melancholy death of oyster boy and other tales.

I do think it is VERY neat and the overall pic looks extremely well polished to me. If I ever produce something half as cool as this I would be over the moon.

This character is really cute and you capture his personality in the render. I would kinda like to see him a bit more surprised that the gumballs fell on the floor, though. Maybe have one eyebrow slightly raised higher than the other - or since he has no eyebrows - one eye larger than the other. Do you know what I mean? Becuase he has black voids for eyes it's just hard to tell where he's looking.

I like him a lot though and would love to see him animated!

All around a beautiful rendering - I'm not sure it terms of crit, but the chair seems small - or maybe he seems too big in the scene. The lighting kicks, though, and the character design is tops. The wart on his eye, for some reason, creeps me out.

This is a great piece. The lighting, depth of field, and glow effects are what really set it off.

    Cool

while I really love the render, I cant help but wonder... I love in the concept drawint the blankness of his eyes. is there a way to achieve that result in 3d? I cant even imagine how to go about getting that effect, possibly negative lights, with a small self illumination map? not sure, but great image man!

That's a cool little character. Do you have a back story on how he got so screwed up?

Very nice, I have to agree with Monkeyburger about parallels with Tim Burton’s work. Makes you wonder how a project with the creative juice of Nightmare Before Xmas executed with a 3D toolset would be received. My only issue with the render is the lack of a cast shadow from the lamp behind him. Placing a second offset shadow for the main ch. and the foreground objects could only help the scene.
    Otherwise.....
