here're some studies and stuff i've been doing... hope you enjoy!
Great stuff in this sketchbook, just wanted to say good job on the landscape video, from what I've watched of it so far it's going to be a real help I think. Do you typically start your digital figures more with line or with blocks of color?
Christ almighty!
aedman: hey man! thanks! as for the line vs. blocks of color.... it depends on if I have photo ref... sometimes i start in blocks of color, and wind up going back in with line later to clarify things.. but most of the time it's blocks of color... cheers
marco nelor Hey man! looking forward to seeing you when you come in town... you've got a couch to crash if you need it! I just gave you shit cuz you'd give more love to the clouds than any other element of the picture... not the same when all you're painting is clouds
roidvoid I'm right here!
kveye hey man! i use photos sometimes... depends on the subject and circumstances
christ : thank you christ

Very inspiring to see your development. Seeing this stuff, I seriously want to do more personal works. Do you use a Cintiq by the way?

Beautiful stuff. The highlights on the faces and the soft finish in a lot of these really brings them to life. I wish I could do that much with one brushstroke.

Getting through the internet, one kitten video at a time.
Nice updateLove the girl with the hair covering her eyes and that spaceship. Really nicely done!
yowzas!
Whit's rocking the boat. Nice work!
You're a killer... Everything is in full volume and depth, tangible, palpable. Clouds, bodies, every tiny detail... Phew...
Among the latest batch I especially like the snowy speedpaint, it feels like I can trek in it.
you are not telling me those painted girls are from imagination right?
not that it would really matter, seeing as its the final piece thats important to the viewer, not the process.
but god damn are those beautiful, the whole update is beautiful.
now im just rambling because im flabbergasted.
Me and DanielC talked abit about your outdoor environment video piece (neither of us has seen it yet, we are waiting for the second part) and we both thought it was amazing how all the details and textures are really just scribbles, yet the whole piece is really amazing and alive (it is currently my desktop!)
yeah yeah lol.
your girls studies is absolutely crazy, man, keep post more of them
btw, these studies are from photo-references or from real people?
