The long journey to the magnificent world of M'Imatination

Oh well...o kinda stucked in the second drawing......im posting it so anyone might help....
    image progression
Image 1 (text reference, Bible, Judges Chapter 13: (1) And the children of Israel again did evil in the eyes of the Lord; and the Lord gave them into the hands of the Philistines for forty years. (2) Now there was a certain man of Zorah of the family of the Danites, and his name was Manoah; and his wife had never given birth to a child. (3) And the angel of the Lord came to the woman, and said to her, See now! though you have never given birth to children, you will be with child and give birth to a son.(4) Now then take care to have no wine or strong drink and to take no unclean thing for food;(5) For you are with child and will give birth to a son; his hair is never to be cut, for the child is to be separate to God from his birth; and he will take up the work of freeing Israel from the hands of the Philistines.

    Image 2:
(6)Then the woman came in, and said to her husband, A man came to me, and his form was like the form of a god, causing great fear; I put no question to him about where he came from, and he did not give me his name; (7) But he said to me, You are with child and will give birth to a son; and now do not take any wine or strong drink or let anything unclean be your food; for the child will be separate to God from his birth to the day of his death. (8)Then Manoah made prayer to the Lord, and said, O Lord, let the man of God whom you sent come to us again and make clear to us what we are to do for the child who is to come. (9)And God gave ear to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came to the woman again when she was seated in the field; but her husband Manoah was not with her. (10)So the woman, running quickly, gave her husband the news, saying, I have seen the man who came to me the other day.

hey man, welcome to CA.org, we're glad to have yah.
your tablet stuff is looking cool, but i wanted to point you to some anatomy books because they are always helpful
Bridgeman's Complete Guide to Drawing From Life, or Andrew Loomis' books

the first comment on my sketchbook said the same thing, and i am very grateful of it.

I was also wondering if you have ever done traditional painting, oils/acrylics.

I too spend a lot of time trying to draw Penelope

Looking at what you posted I’d just suggest you take your time when constructing figures (framework, shapes, proportions like the Cruz pic) from your imagination so you don’t have to go over the same area with so many lines making it quite thick.

Very dynamic lion pic! I think the lion’s head and open mouth should point towards the man though. As if trying to eat him. Would be awesome if you finished that piece.

Good start to your sketchbook -- stick with it, and you'll improve tremendously. Someone recommended Andrew Loomis' books. You can download them here -- they're all out of print. And I second the recommendation. Study hard on Figure Drawing for All it's Worth, and you can't go wrong. The Bridgman stuff is good, too.

One thing I'd encourage you to do is try to stay away from those "hairy" lines. Put down a few really light lines if you need to, then go slow, and put down one good, solid line.

Keep it up -- I'll keep an eye on you.

    Hi

A very nice start with the tablet... I would like to suggest that you try to clean up your line work with it... Just practice with drawing just lines before you actually get to crackin with any real drawing... doesn't have to be of anything, just lines that have no meaning yet they should be controlled so that you get a better feal for the tablet...

Keep it up and show us your analog stuff too... Digital isn't the end all be all of art!

And to help you out with finding some good books... Check the Fre(e books) link in my sig...

Some good studies and progress going on in here. I'd suggest you work on cleaning up your lines a bit when youre detailing or taking a drawing past a sketch, but otherwise just keep doing what youre doing!

Hey man! My only crit is to open an anatomy book! Love the B&W drawings, but they also look very simple! Start with body structure, study the size of the arms, shoulders and other body parts, copy some some body drawings! You can develope yourself by putting some shadows! I wish you good luck and KEEP posting don't give up my friend!

    AHA
i founded out how to change my title yeah!!!

tried to make the cape based on the combat between Samson and the philistines where he uses a Jawbone to kill 1000 mans...went very simple and im dont like it very much but still...there it is....

So i will follow with the final result of my work...its based on Samson and Delilah, and the text is just the same u can find at Judges chapter 13 (the space between lines represents the versicles...so the first image is based on versicles 1 to 5)....

and for thanks i made another draw...giving thanks to my teachers and mainly to God...as u can read at the top of the page "For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen" Romans 11:36.

    thats all

so ive draw a little more. Both draws were inspired by reference, and both are "unfinished". Thought i will not finish the map right now, since the adventure focus the continent of Frossar. I would like tips of Frost/Frozen Texture and etc, to use on it.
The character is just a sketch and firt looking on colors...i may finishi him, but since he is already dead, im not sure.

    Thx all
