    Hey dude.
You're making some good progress already. Good to see regular drawing.
A wise choice you've made to study from life, rather than get caught up in creating things. At this stage, it's most important to do the hard yards and train your hand, eye and brain to achieve mechanical precision.

I would suggest you get yourself a couple of the good anatomy books and start studying from those on top what you're already doing.

    Keep up the good work.

Thanks for droping by the sketch book man

    I really liked thisone

keep doing the head studies, they coming along really nicely

also, try to find an artist that really captivates you, reaserch their work, and do a few "master studies". this will propell you right up to another level of understanding how art work is produce. I say this cause it was one of those eye opener experiences for me

I don't know if you are doing this yet, but you can use your finger, a bit of chamois, or a rolled up piece of paper to rub on the charcoal shadows to make them blend out smoothly. The graininess would no longer be there.

im really liking the progression of ur studies!
seems to be paying off the more u do
eyes, mouths, hands etc were all looking great, tricky part is compilating (if thats a word i think it is lol) all of them to make a proportionate face, which is something i have trouble with sometimes.
but keep at it.. on the right track
    hope this somewat motivates u!!
    talk soon
Check out my SKETCHBOOK ...looking for helpful advice!

The charcoal nudes are definitely my favourite; there's a nice feeling to them. Just wondering how big you're working? I've always read that it's best to work big with charcoal though I could be wrong. I think you ought to be a bit bolder with your shadows a lot of the time, but other than that, there's a lot of nice work here so far. Keep up the life drawing and the portraits.

lots of improvement, alot of progress and lots of great studies.. this looks like your in the right direction I think maybe you need a bit more contrast in your values.. to get the form better read. good luck.

Blaz: Thanks a lot, i need those thumbs ups, they inspire me and make me even more enthausiastic as before! i liked the charcoal as well, tonight its life drawing again, so im gonna try to make some better ones;P

Ghoulio: yo, welcome dutchie im gonna check ur sketchbook soon to see what drawing brought you so far!

Nolarc: thanks! i work kinda small at the moment, the charcoals are A4, but tonight im gonna try on A3 to see how that will come out! and about the shadows ur right, im kind of a pussy, afraid to mess stuff up when i shade too much, but looks like it shows, so i have to push myself more to go further with shading!

Good work, if possible I would tell you to draw some full bodys from your mind, so that you show how you handle both ways. They say that drawing from mind is useless, but if you can't drawing what you imagine then what's the point of drawing.

yup, i should do that more lennon. actually, the first image i post now is from mind and not to good i think though, that the best way to learn that is lifedrawing as much as possible, since then u start to really grasp all the forms! still im pretty sure u learn a lot from imagination drawing as well!
mind, and another page of kinda crappy lifedrawings:

Hey whatsup! After looking through your SB I can see youve improved a lot and put some work into it.

My main suggestion is to take your time on your drawings. I can definitely tell which drawings you are rushing and which you are spending more time on. In my opinion you should spend as much time as you need on every picture you draw to make it look right, and if it doesnt look right then go back and try to fix it.

    Good luck and keep posting!

thanks for posting in my sketchbook, i see a ton of progress from the first page. I agree with the above post that you should spend more time on your individual studies, dont rush, if it need to take an hour to get it right than take an hour to do it. the proportions on your figures are looking good, i think it might be time to study the underlying structure. Bridgman's constructive anatomy was a huge help for me for learning anatomy. keep up the good work.
