nice start Joatleythe anatomy is looking pretty good, as far as the human (or mostly human) figures go. Which ones do you want background/enviro ideas for?
My only complaint thus far: a lot of these have really soft lighting... there are few images that have "hard" edges as far as shadows or light sources go... and some of your images are lacking sharp-edged shadows. (like the first one with the woman with back lighting and the one lit from below) A secondary light source could be used as well.
Overall, a great start!

Stilgar - I actually did that shroom while I was drunk. Drawing drunk makes drawing sober seem that much easier.
Bohemian - Yeah I do have trouble with lighting sometimes, as this most recent one frustrated me so that I'm only posting the sketch and the initial stab at hardshadows. The light source is top/slightly left--

Hey Joatley, Welcome to CA.org. you have a nice start to your sketch book, im hoping you keep it up and really start cranking them pieces out.
As i have a day off :-) and i happened to like your Bram picture so much, i decided to do a little tut, to help you with the lighting probs you have. This approach helped me when i started to struggle with light. Basically it involves simplifying the major shapes in to a quick read (light and dark) i hope you find it useful and go back to finish that image off, its a cool concept.

Hey Joat.. nice last image, i can see you have been working on him a lot. i would suggest giving the 'dramatic' lighting another pass, the shadows seem as tho they are onidirectionally (not really a word i doubt) lit... def strengthen shadow under legs to better suggest form and that fact there are four legs... ;-)

Onidirectionally? One-direction-ey? Well yeah, the light source is his flashlight thingy. I'm just getting kind of tired with it so I did one last overlay to push the shadows a ton more.
I also oil sketched Jon Talbain from darkstalkers but his arms are bothering me and resizing the image made it look terrible for some reason.
And a pred, just itching to make people say the F-word more than one f-ing time in the next movie-
