Hi all and welcome to my sketchbook!

My name is Emelie, you can call me Em.

I've been studying Sequential Art and Graphic Storytelling. Creating comics basically.

Now I'm finding my way back to the basics and I'm currently enrolled in this pre-higher-art-studies-thingie. Hard to explain. Sweden has way too many funny forms of education..

I want to study more and work with concept art, animation, illustration, comics and so on.

I am productive, not very good at documenting and uploading though. Working on it. Ok?

some kool ideas here, you would love mattias' sketchbook (do a search or its usually on the first page) it ooozzzes this style but uber professional. Maybe try do some basic shapes i nperspective and set your self some ID style tasks to improve your design ( their is a weekly ID challenge here on the forums).

I'll try to get my scanner up and running so I can keep up the posting. Got lots of drawings and paintings I got home from school not long ago. Would be really nice to upload some more serious stuff. This is just the warm up.

Yeah, that creepy looking guy is my idea of a cirkus freak.
I will try to update as much as possible. Need to get my creative side going! ^^

Hey Blaz! ^^

I have a very varied style of works. I do love painting/drawing in a more naïve kind of way. You will see more of that in my next update.
Still trying to find my individual style though.

I'll fix the images. Gonna take some new ones, or better up, scan them at my school. We'll see if I have the time for it.

It IS Serj from soad. ^^
I had a live photo as reference, and I did it when I was like 14, so that's 6 years ago. Can't believe it myself actually.

Been a while since I last updated. Well, it just feels that way..

I've been pre occuppied with party planning and the art of eating a lot of cookies.

This is an expansion of a previous idea I've been scetching on. Ink.
The thing in the lower left corner is water. My bottle leaked into my bag. Lucky as I am, my scetchbook didn't get ruined.


This is a WIP. Don't know if I'm going to colour it or not.. Any ideas folks?

Yeah, I enjoy the FF-series. But I haven't kept up with the new ones. I prefer the older ones, the classics.

Yeah, it's almost impossible to get a roof over your head here. It's really redicilous! >.<
Haha! I don't think you will fit in my closet, but maybe under my bed amongst my pottery and all the "dust rats"?

Im gonna advise you to study some human anatomy, as I am doing. At first I thought: omg, sounds so boring. But I think its pretty funny, people have told me that once you know the human anatomy and can master it with your pencil you can draw anything you like. You will not regret doing it.

I like old style robots too btw

Hi and welcome to CA! I can't give you that much critisism based on what I see here. I need to see some more stuff, maybe some anatomy studies, portraits and what not. So keep posting One tip for forcing yourself to draw and post more is to never ever post a single post without a picture attached to it. That's what I do atleast. Otherwise, really cute robots, like your abstract art aswell.

Oh, nice GW-avatar btw. Used to play that ALOT. And if you're into fighting games be sure to check out Uppercut in Uppsala the weekend after this one. I'll be getting my arse kicked there then

Vimmel Yes, the Swedes are taking over! Mohahahaaa! No seriously, thanks for the comments. I know that I have to do more studies of the human body, and I really want to learn more, but my patience has been very poor up to this date. Don't really know why to be honest. I'm glad you liked my balloon pics. I took them at my balcony.

Zombie_dla Thanks mate! I know that I've been cheating by not posting pics with every post. But I'm trying to get better at it, trust me.. I'm in this massive dry period, so I really have to force everything! Yeah, GW is keeping me company at the evenings.. Not playing anymore?

Really basic stuff I did at school in 06. First attempt with models. Both nudes and people with pants!
All fast sketches, ca 1 min each, in different mediums. (charcoal, graphite, pencils..)

More model studies in colour and a sculpture.. Fast stuff. Just a minute or two. The one in acrylic and the one above took around 10-15 minutes. I don't remember.. Also done in 06.
