Good studies, bro! You have a good grasp of the forms. Your mech designs are tight! I would love to see one finished. I'm in envy of your design skillz. I feel guilty now that you're still working on the Jack The Giant Killer thingy. Please keep it up!

No prob about your current dilemma with your pc. I've experienced that before as well. It is a bummer waiting for a paint stroke to appear haha.

Arteater; It's going somewhere, but way too slow!
Dizon; I'm horrible at anything tech-related so I could use some practice there. Not my favourite subject either. I've toned down the use of textured brushes and such, somewhat lessening the strain on my pc. Either way I'll resolve that issue soon enough, saving up for a new one. Thanks!
zou; Hah, cheers. They were somewhat clueless but I enjoyed it. You keep updating too!
    Faulks; hi!

Small update - daily sketch group stuff.

zou; Thanks man, challenges like those are tough but a good practice.

My computer appears to have died. I'm currently looking for a new one, just need to figure out the right specifications.
Either way, lost quite some recent stuff. Just posting what I had already uploaded to photobucket.
    Back to pencils for now!

    studies from ref;

Also I forgot to mention - I've got a new computer! Took me some time, but I'm getting back in action. This one can actually run Photoshop.

A DSG thing and a CoW entry.
Started the day after the deadline and finished it in a couple hours, so could use some polishing. Either way, hopefull start I guess.. see if I can keep up.
Topic was a certain kind of alien with tentacles, evolved from aquatic organisms, which developed some civilisation.

I love this consistent variety in here. Some perspective, anatomay, values, color etc. wonderful. You said you didnt attend art school? What are you studying then? anyways, great stuff.
and the fact that you painted that stuff on the early pages with a mouse really shattered my ego! lol

In another internship again. Little time etc. But I think I'm picking this up again.

Hai; Oh yes! and PS is running smoothly now! Big res with little downtime makes a big difference.
Yuki_slider; I enjoy doing those, which is really helpful. Thanks!
KingElvis; I finished my Bsc in Biology, now attending a Msc Ecology. Yea.. glad I got rid of the mouse ;P
zou; I'm hoping the same... Thank you!
Cameronator ; Cheers! really intend to push the concepts.
Dizon; Glad you like it, I went trough a lot of revisions! The result is somewhat sloppy unfortunately. Will be cleaning it up though.
Angel Intheuk; Those huts were a disaster to paint! But I just have to do some tougher studies to push my abilities.
    Parsakoira; Yea.. must... draw...

Wow! excellent work man! Thanks for taking the time to comment in my SB, I would crit yours but I don't know what to say except...I envy your enviro painting skills (the foregrounds in the last two landscapes could benefit from some detail to finish them off but that's all I can think of!) Nice DSG stuff too!

    Keep it up!!

Arteater; Yea still trying to improve at form form form form form!
Angel Intheuk; It's true, I'm really bad at those foregrounds. I do try, I just can't seem to figure out how to make it 'work' digitally.
For those last spartan sketches I did not use ref, although I often do keep ref around. To guide me a little. Got a lot of reference sites though, I can list a few if you're interested. To answer your question, I'm following an Msc in Ecology. So that can be demanding and I'm not always in the mood for drawing. It's something I need to change though.
KingElvis; There's never enough time though! I try to squeeze in some drawing whenever I can, but it usually ends up in the evening/weekends...
zou; Yes yes yes! Need to get more consistent.

Loomis referenced, hands using a mirror, and some things from photo reference.

Sketches, some for the Daily Sketch Group.
The thing with the figures was for a challenge on Artorder - "Concepting Magic". Horribly rushed and with bad text, but I hope you get the general idea.

Trying the attachment manager. Seems like a slow method, any idea what the merits are?
