kingkostas: thanks a mucho
Lots of experiments going on here, lovely.
I got just one personal opinion is that you can do the value practice with colours more, which I think is the key of performing rich colour schemes.
Thanks for dropping by my sb so often btw. Keep the work up!
good stuff happening here! Dude you rock the apes!! This Master study is looking really good... the ruffles are amazing. A fun place to visit and watch some tube, cool.

Your sketchbook told me to check it out.
I'm glad I did.
You've got lots of studies going on, and they will certainly pay off once you put them all to work!
Your anatomy studies are awesome and I love your master study.
I hope you never give up the dream either, you're on your way.

Click on it!
Got some good stuff on the way. My apologies for not updating for 2 days.
Nice creature and nice way to present us your new updates .
I think you have trouble with torsos in 3/4(not in all of your chars but in some of them).Try throw some studies in this section.Nice figures
Some of your environment pencils are really nice pornography wise haha!
Your fast gestures are hit and miss, some are bloody brilliant, while some are a tad bit stiff in places, though I cant talk. Good work overall, I love ya pencils the most, your digital stuff looks a bit washed out, probably due to the brush settings, try to block in planes with hard flat colors first? May help ya. I think illd like to see some anatomy studies, but more on the illustrative side so you spend longer looking at various parts instead of speed paintings.
Keep it up man!
I think you should work more on some solid solid construction in your drawing. Paying VERY close attention to proportions, and insertions of muscles, landmarks, etc. Do some excercises where you start with the skeleton (just a block in) then start packing the muscles on. Or work in specific sections, aka the arm, or the chest, or the face, and start from the bone up. Its here, where you can then learn more about planes, and really let your rendering skills shine.
Gents...and Ladies (if there are women on the internetz)
kingkostas: Thanks for stopping by as always! Did some torso practice for your viewing.
Saturns Gate:HAHA! Will get to work on those recommendations! Thanks for the input and crit.
Amazing Action Ape: Cool cool as always thanks for the advice! I'll get on it asap.
Here is a little sampling of what i've been playing around with. Color Theory class has me painting a shit ton of Gouache swatches. Just waiting on the D/L from Jason Manly entitled Mantone:color theory done right.
hey dude i'm liking all these updates, you're showing great improvement, those last creatures are fucking wicked. keep it up w/ all those studies, and just keep on trucking.
To live is to create, to create is to live. Without art and music, I do not know how I would get by in my day to day life.
Kaffinated, I'm enjoying your pencils very much! I see your strokes are going with the form, which is excellent and yielding good results. Torso studies looking nice, which book are you studying by the way, I was about to say Giovanni, but not sure, hehe.
Man, I didn't know you live in Austin, we should definelt hit up the sketchgroup sometime. I haven't actually been to one, but I do go to quite a few figure drawing sessions at the Hancock center and the AVAA.
Sketchbook!! Please help me improve!
kingkostas:Thanks for stopping by and the kind words, mate!
algenpfleger: Dude, you rock! thanks for stopping by!
thesadpencil: Thanks a bunch! Hope your keeping the progress going on your sb.
KidApe: Nah don't live in Austin im just a hour south of you. Im down for some figure drawing session in Austin tho! My torso's came from the pose maniacs.
Hahaha! Its a update....been working my way through the constructing anatomy vids w/ Rivan Phionex.
Cool studies - watch out for making the faces too flat in profile - loomis has the face as a straight gesture line but most people curve in some way.
wow! you sure sketched a lot! xD
i love your line work, it has a really nice feel to me. I also like the way ou characterirez the heads, although some of their faces look a bit flat. Also i noticed but i could be wrong that in some of heads you tended to mark the (flat =p) contour of the faces much more than the actual features. Comparing these to the ones where you actually put some very dark marks in the features areas, the last ones look more alive. Hope this make some sense =)
anyway very good job, keep it up!
ps. thanks for the help on the warlock thingy, and sorry for not stopping by earlier =)
