The mountains look good, but the strokes look so rushed. Just slow down, take your time, do your best.![]()
Max Challie ;- Took your advies but still could'nt exactly finish it lol. Thanx for the crit and advise, i think it came out allot better.
spaztastic ;- Thanx spaz.
Wow, the mountains are a lot better, though some edges could be sharper. Generally your edges could be sharper, also in the carribean enviro.
Nice colors in these studies, man. Very well observed.
You aren't using the color picker, are you?
As other have said, your mark making is what could be most improved in these pieces. Scribbly marks like in your mountains have a certain charm to them, especially in fairly quick and loose pieces, but you'll also want to figure out how to say a lot with a little, how to efficiently paint something so that texture and detail is suggested, but you don't paint every little detail. It's tough, though, and I'm not very good at it.![]()
good stuff man, keep pushing it!
Nice sketchbook. I think you are amazing when it comes to painting. Especially for your age. Keep it up man!
Me Myself and Me again, its inspiring to see your dedication, and the improvement that results from it. Really digging your creature concepts!

Janos - Thanx dude, from now on i'll use sharper edged brushes on my enviro studies.
Moai - Thanx matey for the visit. Extra thanx for the adviceand no colour picker was used in the making of these enviro's or infact any of my digital peices. I feel likes its cheating.

A W.I.P, thats all for the moment.
The contrast between the first page and the fifth page is amazing.I love the painting of the beach. The color of the sand looks a little strange (not saturated enough, perhaps?).
I am loving the enviros... I wish mine was as good....I guess I have to get my bum in gear and practice some more of them. So have you been doing your life studies and what not?
also the newest creature ROCKS!!!!

the sketch books good, i can see a major improvement and its really great to see that. I see a similar style throughout the works, thats been referred as the "fuzzy bear" it sort of shows a timidness in drawing, doing lots of quick figure gestures (30-60) sec, long strokes, looking at what your drawing more then your drawing itself. Be bold, and confident, along with those look at angles and shapes. good luck in the future, keep it up.

the ANGRY filipino :- Hey angry! Thanx for taking the time to look through me thread. I do love doing tradional work, i find it so much more relaxing than digital but then again diital does have its times aswellI've had enough with that creature i have'nt got the inspiration i had for it anymore

So heres 3 sketchbook pages some creature sketches and the last one is a page of gorrila studies trying to loosen my style up a bit more.
cool sketchbook! love your traditional paintings and poses. I think you will be a great digital artist too. For example if you spent more time on your environment studies, though they are still rather nice, be great to see some more refined onesKeep it up!
