unamigosencillo> hey thanks man, workshop was a crazy ride wasnt it.
Blue Severin> hehe yeah i'l put it up here, it looked alot better on the big projector.
KROGER> haha thanks, the world of 21ux is so sweet. i dont think i'l go back to regular wacom.i'm doing some more vids in the next few weeks.
BludHund> cheers dude, was probably the most nervous i've ever been, i've been preety solidly booked at work for the next few months, soo many concepts need to get sorted out, deadlines - the art crusade organising.. lots but i'm doing more experimental speedpaintings in my free time on the cintiq, i'l update with something soonish.
ArmoredGorilla> hmm , i dont have any formal training, i sketched through most of my classes in high school, only just managed to graduate, got out with no real good marks, so i said fuck it i'm taking a year off to draw. So i spent a year studying and drawing with no real references in my little studio room, i'd work bar work for rent, or wash cars, worst job i've ever had was unpacking shipping containters filled with asian furniture in the australian summer.. that made me appreciate money and a desk job abit more, i tryed my hand at a comic that made no money, - worked for free for companies that were full of promices, all the while building up a portfolio of environment work, expanding my style to archetecture and creatures, then i applied and called up fuzzyeyes and told them i was willing to change cities, moved up here with $30 in my bank account, 2 years later here i am drawing 9 to 10 hours a day doing environment concepts and prop design. so my advice is just to keep drawing.

Cool sketchbook. I like how loose are your sketches. You could put even stronger marks in some places to give it more contrast.
That's an interesting story. I think one year of hard practice is enough for good start.
    Hope to see more experiments.

    absolutely love your style!
love your lose sketches. very loose and fluid! keep it up. very inspirational work for me they have alot of motion to them i think its because the background provide the sense of dramtic movement and confussion and blur of chaos.
sorry that was a balber there. but your ork is nice
    hope to see more!

ah moopsy.. rip.. for anyone who is interested read on..

Moopsy was a npc(non player character) introduced into a game of dungeons and dragons we were playing, poor Moopsy was snatched of his mortal coil or sentient fungus hive mind, when he was killed by a particularly nasty over powered trap when waronmars's character named sludgegob failed a detect traps check on a tomb door..

Sludgegob strolled into a crypt with a glowing rune symbol on the ground that turned into a flaming golden lion, it swiped at the character, putting her on -9 hp straight away, she would have been completely dead if Moopsy, a small fungus like being hadn't taken some of the damage as it was on her person at the time...(also sludgegob has lycanthropy which grants a -5 damage reduction bonus)

So Moopsy was felled by a flaming golden lion that quickly vanished, a cruel act by the DM (dungeon master) as he thought having moops as a character we could carry around while he made potions would unbalance the game.(moops was a gift by a mycinoid sovereign (huge mushroom character) after we saved their colony from destruction in an earlier game.)

It may have become slightly unbalanced, but it would have been more interesting for us, and in the end more fun, the game dragged on and became a bore so we left the d&d group for a few months.

    FAQ
you play d&d ? answer: yes, you should have a go its fun as hell when all your video games stop working on your pc, use your imagination.

Damn, that's nice man. I'm actually finally using some of your techniques you taught everyone at that games concept art workshoppy thing back in early 2008 (was it...? At the QUT place). Yep.
