Dwarf playing flute - Help

This is a sketch for an upcoming digital painting. I'm mostly having trouble with the feet...any help or paintover welcomed

Critique:

The rendering of the trees is very nice, shows lots of details. The anatomy of the dwarf is off in the hand and feet regions along with his legs. Also it's kind of hard to read the position of the dwarf, is he far away from the tree or close to it? Render some more of the right side and update, overall I like the way this piece is going, keep it up.

EDIT: I also noticed that he has hardly any butt, you may want to add some more to him.

You probably should just ref some foot poses to get them right. I'm also not sure of his positioning. Looks like he's on a cliff?
If he isn't then his legs should be crossed and not look like they're dangling.

He's on a rock like these..hopefuly it will be more obvious with color

I think the trees are absolutely astounding and I also like the colouring (although I would imagine his hair to be more white and less red).
But your picture lacks perspective, to my mind. It just stops behind the dwarf and the rock, maybe you should add some background like mountains or so?
